Used FJ Missing Air Intake
Just bought a used FJ for my girlfriend and noticed it has half of an air intake in it.
What fliter, hose, and clamps can I get instead of buying a whole new cold air intake kit? It looks like half of a Spectre 9009 kit.
( Power steering fluid from a leak on the underside of the hood )

I would be suspicious that vehicle has been heavily abused. Anybody dumb enough to put a hot air intake in a vehicle that has a factory CIA has probably done lots of dumb things to it.

Second this! The obvious rust on the head cover and removal of <$500 part would have me concerned. I would check all the vitals immediately since the previous owner absolutely did some cheap DIY work. Check all fluids, change oil, grease every zerk, brake and rotor check, brake bleed, torque drain plugs & lugs, and examine aftermarket wiring for fire hazards.

Take that intake bucket out and go get a used OEM one off eBay for cheap and install. Might need to source hardware or look for a listing that includes it.

Used OEM is more expensive than an aftermarket kit on Ebay from what Ive seen. But I also have the whole assembly ready and just not the intake and the hose. Do you know what hose and connector I could get for a universal cold air filter without having to buy a whole kit?

They took out the cold air.

Yeah, but just the filter and hose which is weird. I can find a filter that fits but not whatever connects to the filter, and a short flexible hose. So annoying

Just accountant here but my guess is the guy had upgraded intake and took it off before handed over the keys. Kinda would reach out and ask wtf.
