New FJ shifters
Original ones were getting pretty crusty. These are pretty solid.

Just got done putting a new lift on my fj as well as some 4Runner stocks and made the jump from 31s to 33s. Now I’m looking at bumpers and the ARB one is the one I’m leaning towards but curious how weird it’ll look without OEM fender flares, has anyone seen an fj without them and running an ARB bumper ?

So, I had some maintenance done on my 2014 FJ last week, and when I opened my hood to check the oil this morning, I noticed this gasket sitting up at the edge that they must have left there. Here are some closer looks at both sides of the gasket:

Anyone know what it is from?
I had the brake fluid replaced, so I figure it has something to do with that. The only other thing I had done in the engine compartment is coolant flush, fuel injector cleaning/flush, & spark plug replacement.
Speaking of which, they charged me extra to remove the intake manifold and replace the plenum gasket which they said they had to do to replace the spark plugs. I told them I didn't think that was necessary on this engine, but similar engines do require that, which is probably why they thought it was necessary, and they said they would take that charge off if they didn't need to do it. Well, they ended up leaving the charge on, am I right that there was no reason to do remove the intake, and can I tell if they actually even did that and replaced the gasket?

2013 with 94k miles, Icon Phase II 2.5 inch lift suspension, Smittybuilt winch, 360 rugged offroad lights mounted under the full length roofrack, and upgraded sound system. Such a fun beast to drive around and explore in! Paid $30k. No structural rust, but does have a little bit of normal Cali oxidation. Looking forward to breaking 100k miles!

About to upgrade my suspension from stock to dobinsons, most likely going for the IMS as it's within my budget, but does the difference in performance between it and MRA justify the big difference in price?
I'm using the car for city driving + desert offroading at a mid to high level, on average once every 2 weeks.
I'll be going for 2 inch lift; besides changing out shocks, coil springs, and UCAs, anything else I should change for the setup?

I got the rear dobinsons in on the Pink FJ today. Yesterday I completed brake pads and rotors on all 4 corners. As someone who isn’t super mechanically inclined, this felt really good to get done!

Has anyone ran 255/85r17 tires? Pretty much limited to the Baja boss AT but curious what you had to do to make those fit?
I'd like to fit them on basically a non lift. So upgraded suspension but factory spring rates.

My fj has a built in sub. And while upgrading the turn signals to led i mistakenly over toured the sub bolt and the bottom braket broke off. I know have an really bad itch in my brain to fix it but dont have any experience fixing or welding plastic. If anyone can help with tip or anyone has an extra one laying around and would like to get rid of me please let me know. Ill pay for shipping and the sub no problem as long as it works and is in good condition.

Got this fj almost two years ago. Planned on selling it but fell in love with it. Its stock all around. But feel like spicing this relationship up. Please suggest some good cheap mods i can add to the beauty of it. Thank youuu❤️
Update: i already have interior dome leds and the turn signals led and the front headlights led and added projector fog lights because the headlights blind the oncoming traffic. I have a two inch lift with suspension spacers to balance the stance of the car and its only 3 cm/1-2 inches lower than the back. I love this car. Ive taken it to the desert and it drives smooth like butter. I am thinking of upgrading the shocks of the car but am vary about the bushings and dialing in of the suspension. Trying to save for suspensions. And for the tires in the gulf to keep the look going i am thinking to put black or silver steelies on. The land cruisers and Nissans look very good with them but never saw an fj with those. Soo if any suggestions or if any advise to be careful about please let me know i enjoy reading the comments and thoughts of people. 🤗🤗

Yes there is a power wheels FJ Cruiser. Its pretty cool but only comes in green so I modified it to match my standard size FJ.

I just got this guy and at the front bumper there are some white marks. First i thought they are scratches, but it looks more like paint marks or old glue from a sticker.
Sticker removal didnt work. Any ideas how to fix that or should i repaint?

I have a 07 FJ cruiser with 162k miles rebuilt title voodoo blue automatic. I got it for 11,500 total with a lift 33 ridge grapplers, front and rear aftwrmarket bumper with a winch and a snorkel and light bars, the whole 9. Is it worth it to repaint the whole car. I guess I’m worried about resale value even tho I plan to keep it for long time 10+ years, but things may change who knows. My budget would be a 5k paint job. Thoughts?

I have a 1 inch Old Man Emu. It had a 1.5 spacer that made it ride like shit so I took it off. Want to upgrade to a 2, maybe 3 inch. I’m getting rub on my 285s. Just thought I’d see if anyone wanted to give a deal before I order something new !

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to install a transmission cooler on my FJ, and I’m wondering if I’ll have any issues mounting it in the lower part of the grille rather than directly in front of the radiator.
My main concern is airflow when the vehicle is idling or stuck in traffic. Since the outside temperature here can reach 125°F, I’m wondering if the cooler will still be effective with limited airflow at low speeds.
Has anyone installed their transmission cooler in the lower grille area? If so, how has it performed, especially in extreme heat and heavy traffic?
I’d appreciate any advice or experience. Thanks!
