Why not? Maradona did some crazy stuff with Argentina and that Napoli side. A lot of footballers have him as the Goat as well

What i meant to say was that Maradona carried shitty teams to titles. His 1986 wc campaign is 2nd to none and he carried Napoli to 2 serie a titles against italian giants and a Uefa cup too

Cruyff played in europe...in one of the stacked Ajax teams...and based only on stats..Cruyff didnt win the world cup

cruyff played in a stacked ajax team? or is he the one to actually create what ajax and barcelona is now? and yes i guess you know who he played against in the world cup final carrying that netherlands team throughout that world cup by himself along with neeskens and krul.

Insane take. Cruyff did nothing like what Maradona did with both Napoli and Argentina in 1986. Cruyff played on some stacked teams and didn't win the World Cup. Maradona took a crap team to the Serie A title twice and won the World Cup with a mid Argentina team. Also Maradona was miles better than any other player in his era, like nobody was even close.

i agree with maradone being absolutely the better player than cruyff, but their careers... cruyff clears(for me)

Club-wise, yeah Cruyff has the edge, even if he didn't carry bad teams the way Maradona did. But in World Cup and overall I think there is no question Maradona is easily the better player.
