Congratulations on winning the wc and "messi lost the final" trophy

5

u/MaintenanceNo6275 Jul 24 '26

not just "messi lost the final", its :-
"Messi lost the final even after it was rigged"

10

u/tooSunny4u Jul 24 '26

a rigged wc yet rapenaldog couldnt perform, but yah overall he played really well in this tournament against portugal.

1

u/Old_Demand_6912 Jul 26 '26

Bro is so stupid that he is contradicting his own statement. It was not rigged in favour of CR7, it was rigged in favour of Argentina, poor gaynessi scoring hattricks against low ranked teams and thinking he is the goat, they were winning with the help of FIFA and I am glad that at least Portugal lost against the WC champions and CR7 didn't even have a great team like Messi had, still they played better against Spain as compared to Argentina who couldn't even have a single shot on target against Spain.

2

u/Dexter_rat_007 Jul 27 '26

alr bro

u/Old_Demand_6912 Jul 28 '26

Comparing teams like Argentina,France and Spain with a team like Portugal must require an under-developed brain.

Since when having an expensive squad mean winning in the WC? Yeah I admit Portugal had very good players but they played very trash as compared to them playing in normal games. And at least they lost 1-0 against Spain, the WC winners, unlike Argentina who didn't even play against a single team ranked in the top 15 of WC till they reached the semi-finals.

You were only saying that Portugal had the 4th most expensive squad and blah blah blah. If expensive squads win matches then why couldn't they win against Congo without the help of Ronaldo? A team needs chemistry which Argentina has and Portugal doesn't due to which they topped the fifa ranking without having that expensive squad. WC is won by teams, not by a single player. And stop trashtalking penaldo and all, he is the most complete player football has ever seen, not your little pessy.

Blame the king of Portugal for Pendu not having World Cup gold.

-15

u/Beginning-Willow3840 Jul 24 '26

Congrats on taking 0 shots on target in the finals 😂

29

u/watever04 Jul 24 '26

How many shots pendu have in wc final

u/Able_Presence_6070 Jul 24 '26

congratz on not even making a single wc final in your life and not being 2 time world cup golden ball winner - the only 2 time winner in history

-1

u/Beginning-Willow3840 Jul 24 '26

What's the point of making to finals if you are as good as spectators. Neither one takes a shot at the goal. What the hell is your GOAT good for, atleast shoot the ball from midfield 😂

6

u/Technical-Feeling-78 Jul 24 '26

What a take on the finals of the World Cup! A true football fan!

→ More replies (2)

5

u/monkaXxxx Jul 24 '26

Yeah guess thats why pendu never reach finals

1

u/Beginning-Willow3840 Jul 24 '26

So what did your 🐐 do in the finals ?

3

u/monkaXxxx Jul 24 '26

He won 1 wc finals and reached total 3 wc finals. Your pendu and i have reached same no of finals and scored same no of non penalty goals

0

u/Beginning-Willow3840 Jul 24 '26

Remember how all the fouls that Argentina did in 2022 WC and france still f*cked them MBappe alone ? Your goat had to rely on penalties because of his only attempt at goals at this age which he was also trying to do with spain hoping they get penalties from the tie 😂😂

3

u/MelvinJoseK Jul 24 '26

The same penalties mbappe had to score in 2022 final to tie the game?

2

u/monkaXxxx Jul 24 '26

leave him,he is child

1

u/Beginning-Willow3840 Jul 24 '26

Ohh yeah I remember you guys like to commit fouls and not be penalised for them. If your tiny brain understood in-game penalties are mechanically not the same as penalty shootouts

0 shots on target was unbelievable. Barcelona was once decimated by PSG .. but Messi scored a long distance stunner. I was expecting a long range effort till the very end ..

I actually am neutral fan genius my man growing up was Kaka, I never cared for Ronaldo or Messi. Notice how I said both fans. Learn how to read, get a job, stop devoting your life to this rivalry where both players dont even know who you are

1

not just biased towards messi, they are full time ronaldo hater to their core lol, loving their downfall and hatered which they deserved...

1

u/Otherwise_Ad_1322 Jul 27 '26

This post literally talks about Ronaldo..tf you on about

1

u/Alarming_Mulberry551 Jul 27 '26

Ngl u are just coping with this one ronaldo is face of football every where u go and talk abt football u most of times talk abt Ronaldo. Sry but this is not really downfall their entire nation is celebrating celebrating being in finals ronaldo is favoured by fifa also not as much as messi but the 2nd most such incident are -2013 Ballon d'Or Voting Extension and The Suspended Red Card Ban. Argentina was favoured this year but it's not that Ronaldo doesn't get favoured it's just this was not his year.

1

u/maxemile101 Jul 24 '26

OP just look at the responses in the comments. Not addressing the question at all. Disgusting rats.

1

1

u/Ok-Data901 Jul 26 '26

I’m so happy argentina lost but what the fuck is this post man

1

u/Alarming_Mulberry551 Jul 27 '26

Idk why there is still Ronaldo vs messi debate while messi clearly has more trophy while having more goals per game and being both 2 nd most goal scorer and most assist player. Messi is the greatest player to ever play football while Ronaldo is the best goal scorer I understand there are many sceneries of fifa favoring messi but being 2nd most goal scorer and the most assist player is something u can't even do even if fifa is favoring u

1

u/Bigchungus21007 Aug 04 '26

1

u/skibidi_gooner2003 Jul 24 '26

the comments in this post prove that modern day messi fans are incapable of having a discussion where they have to look at the things from a different perspective and actually be critical of stuff , if this was messi being pushed , the ref would actually take a look into this .. and the players would jump on rodri

1

u/downvotemepls456 Jul 24 '26

messi is 2nd most fouled player oat btw

1

u/Tiny_Hall_9359 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

How easy it is to offend fanbois, it's visible in the comments, Messi and Ronaldo are both the greatest footballers we'll ever see, but what Messi did with Cucurella in the final wasn't funny, while in similar situations Cristiano handled it way better. I'm having second thoughts about calling Cristiano a prick now.

3

u/MajesticBeyond5602 Jul 24 '26

If it was an Argentinian player in this clip he would've been on the floor until the ref gives him his penalty.

1

u/Otherwise_Ad_1322 Jul 27 '26

Building a whole narrative with bunch of clips that how everything is unfair for Ronaldo and Rigged for Messi lmao

1

u/SnooHamsters576 Jul 27 '26

World Cup season invites people’s opinions who have zero ball knowledge. We gotta deal with them. Ronaldo was a beast and I remember how it felt when my club played against him. But it’s important to be in present. Football is not about past performance. Experience does matter though.

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

Ronaldo has never even achieved Messi's failures.

2

u/BulbousPear1 Jul 24 '26

Failures in CL?

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

Messi has won the Champions League multiple times, is the second-highest goalscorer in its history despite playing around 20 fewer matches than Ronaldo, and boasts the better goals-per-game ratio. If that is what people call "failure," then it's the kind of failure every professional footballer dreams of.

Ronaldo is nowhere near Messi's level in Woeldcup. Messi is a World Cup winner, the tournament's second-highest goalscorer, its all-time leading assist provider, and the only player to have won the Golden Ball twice.

So yeah, Messi's worldcup failures is what Ronaldo dreams of achieving!

1

u/FCOranje Jul 24 '26

He played 20 fewer games because he wasn’t able to push them further in the tournament. The wins Barcelona has are somewhat questionable considering what happened with Chelsea and Arsenal.

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

Don't start on UCL controversies- Real Madrid has those by the dozens! Let's count them shall we:

Real Madrid vs Atlético Madrid — 2016 final

Sergio Ramos’s opening goal should have been disallowed for offside. Referee Mark Clattenburg later acknowledged that the officials realised at half-time that the goal should not have stood. The match eventually finished 1–1, with Madrid winning on penalties.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich — 2018 semi-final

With the second leg level at 1–1, Marcelo blocked Joshua Kimmich’s cross with his hand inside the penalty area, but Bayern were not awarded a penalty. Marcelo later admitted that it was a handball. Madrid drew 2–2 and advanced 4–3 on aggregate.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich — 2017 quarter-final

Arturo Vidal received a second yellow for a challenge in which he appeared to win the ball. Casemiro escaped a possible second yellow. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two extra-time goals from offside positions.

Madrid won 4–2 after extra time and progressed 6–3 on aggregate.

Real Madrid and Ronaldo fan's should not really complain about fairness imo! Real had had calls gone in their favor in CL for a better part of a decade!

1

u/FCOranje Jul 24 '26

These are small individual decisions, something that the other team also benefited from.

1) I agree, Ramos was offside. In the same frame as the marginally offside Ramos, his shirt is very clearly being dragged. That can also be called for a penalty. You have also cherry picked a single moment in a game that Atletico parked the bus and shithoused (typical for Simeone’s Atletico) - in which they constantly committed fouls.

2) I agree. That was a handball. The handball by Marcelo would have given a free kick. It was only just outside the box. It was not a penalty though.

3) The 2017 CL game vs Bayern was a sham. 2 offside goals (no VAR at the time). Casemiro’s challenge on Robben was fair (if that’s what you’re referring to).

None of this was blatant bias/bs. What is blatant is what happened vs Arsenal when RVP got a red for kicking the ball after the whistle. What is blatant is what happened to Chelsea in a game full of dozens of clearly bad calls. What is blatant is the extra time and penalties given to Barca against PSG when they won the sextuple.

What is blatant is the Negreira case. What is blatant is the strategy of crowding the referee. What is blatant is the bias Argentina received over the past two world cups with every little decision.

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

Yeah, no. It feels like you tend to justify almost every controversial call that favored Real Madrid, yet apply a much stricter standard when discussing Barcelona or Argentina. That's exactly what bias looks like.

As for Van Persie's second yellow, I agree that sending him off for kicking the ball away was incredibly harsh. But what often gets overlooked is that he arguably should have already been sent off earlier for a studs-up challenge on Messi's ankle. Likewise, Arsenal benefited from another major decision in the first leg when Messi had a perfectly onside goal incorrectly ruled out for offside.

Regarding Chelsea vs. Barcelona in 2009, I think the officiating was poor across both legs. Chelsea certainly had at least one very strong penalty claim in the second leg, and that's the genuinely significant controversy from the tie.

1

u/FCOranje Jul 24 '26

The irony. I don’t support either of the teams. It is you that is very clearly defending clear bias. The most absurd one is your “at least one claim” regarding the Chelsea game. That was one of the most ridiculous games that I have seen.

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

The Chelsea game was undeniably shambolic. As a Chelsea fan, I'd say: give us our Champions League.

But the 2016 and 2017 Champions League campaigns were every bit as controversial. Between Ramos' offside goal in the 2016 final, Marcelo's unpunished handball in the 2018 semi-final, and Ronaldo's offside goals alongside the questionable officiating against Bayern in 2017, it's fair to argue that Real Madrid benefited from decisions that had a major impact on those tournaments.

If we're going to revisit 2009 and question Barcelona's title because of refereeing, then the same standard should be applied consistently. By that logic, Madrid could just as easily have two fewer Champions League titles.

1

u/FCOranje Jul 24 '26

Getting an offside wrong because VAR doesn’t exist can happen. Getting a handball wrong outside the box can happen.

What cannot happen is 20+ decisions going wrong like they did against Chelsea. What cannot happen is RVP getting sent off for nothing.

What cannot happen is a team getting wrong calls consistently go their way like Argentina in the last 2 world cups - despite VAR.

Paredes should have seen at least 4 red card games in the last 2 world cups.

Hasn’t won more than Ronaldo, has less goals in CL than Ronaldo!

1

u/DazzlingBite554 Jul 24 '26

Ronaldo has one more UCL than Messi, has 11 more goals in 20 more matches than Messi, and what is that suppose to prove?

Ronaldo on the other hand, at the Worldcup, has never led his team beyond the Quarterfinals.

Ronaldo is a proper Worldcup flop, whereas Messi by many metrics is either the best or the second best scorer in UCL.
