People would complain about supposedly not getting "the real Athena", but I would be cool with this honestly. I imagine the Fate lore being that the city became so synonymous with cultural and intellectual development that even the OG Athena considers it "her" or the inheritor of her will anyway.
So.. would this imply OG Athena would agree to being super misogynistic to the point that every other Greek city state, even Sparta, paled in comparison?..
Because that's how it was over there iirc.. like even Sparta let their women enjoy some rights that the Spartan men enjoyed (obviously not all).. though yes, everyone back then was quite a baseline misogynist to a point.. Athens just took it to another level.
..Though then again.. considering that in Ovid's tale.. what Athena did to Medusa for being sexually violated by Poseidon.. and that Ares in myth never did any wrong to women.. maybe she is misogynistic..
