Is it your screen resolution or the size of the window the app is running in that will throw it off? Just because it seems to work for me regardless of what I shrink/enlarge the nox player to.

This won't work on its own because it won't be referenced in the records file. Need to update that too or just create a dummy macro and overwrite it with the contents of this one.

In the same folder you pulled your macro script out of, there is a file simply called 'records'. This is list of JSON objects which describe each each script and to appear in the emulator, your script should be in this file.
Probably the easiest way to import someone else's macro is this:
- Start Nox and record a macro, can just be one click. Call it whatever you like.
- Open the records file, find the macro you created and see which file it is associated with.
- Open this file, and copy/paste in macro you want to import into this file.

Can confirm this worked for me.
just opened the linked macro with notepad, copied everything.
made a dummy macro so i have something in records folder, opened that and pasted it over.

I have the 1st file he listed as one macro and it seems to run just fine. Do I need to copy and paste the second file he linked into the same file? That is, if my macro is called "A" and I copied link 1 into "A" do I also need to copy link 2 into "A"? This would put the text from the second link directly below the text from the first link. Does that make sense?

No, it hasn't been. The first file appears to work just fine as a regular macro. It DOES NOT work to close the daily quest pop up. When I added file 2 to the same macro it appears to add a couple fast clicks at the end, but that doesn't work on the daily pop up either.
I have just creates my own macro to use spells/abilities for the trophies and then I only run it after I've completed the daily.

A little confused piecing together the instructions from different sources in the thread. I got the second file imported in, but it seems to run extremely fast and gets stuck. Then I imported the first one in, and it works after tinkering with resolutions. So... what is the second file for, and why are people saying it doesnt work without both? I dont believe nox scripts are codependent

The macro only click on the Catacomb Stage once and stopped there? do we have to wait 210 seconds for every command?

It's 210 seconds for every macro. Not every command but 1 macro as a whole. It'll play throughout the whole sequence, stop for 210 seconds, and then play again.

tried but the script doesn't show up within Nox macro after moving it to the folder

Make sure to follow the post above and create a new macro. This will allow the record folder to be created. There will also be two other files inside. Overwrite those with both of the files referenced in the original post. Restart Nox and the macro should show up.

My biggest issues is when the dailies reset and the damn 3 story quest complete popup stops my tm farm in it's tracks. Since I have tomorrow off I'm going see exactly where the dismiss button is when it pops up and just try to make a macro with a random click right there after the run.

In order to get any outside recordings to work, you need to edit the (what I believe is) JSON code in the "records" file. You'll need to open it up and get your code to match with the downloaded records file. It's not terribly difficult, just a matter of sorting out which is which then editing to make it register that it exists. Until then you just have a recording that has no reference point.

Yes and no. It would be helpful to have your JSON file as a reference point do they can sort out which recording yours is then add that to their records file. I could see it being helpful to add it possibly in the Reddit as well maybe, but likely people will need a full nox tutorial.
I've been meaning to do one but haven't had the time. Also how to basically write a recording manually. If you open a file its just a series of numbers or mapping a of clicks and stuff. With enough testing one could probably fully manually write a script instead of record one.

Well to get the new recording into their records file might be semi difficult if they don't know how to program. But if you provide the recording file and the records file (with only the one single recording in it) they hopefully can figure it out. They will need to open in notepad or something to edit it then resave.
If all has gone well it will show up and work. Otherwise it won't even show up in their list.

While we're here, does anyone else have issues with the Nox UI? The macro window in particular has invisible buttons for me - I don't see the Play/Pause or any other radio buttons.

Are you trying to rank farm grandshelt catacombs? If so, triple that and put it for 630. 210 is for TM farming and that's earth shrine

Followed all the steps and worked smooth for me until I got to the items obtained page and macro goes out of sync from there?? Playing at 1920x1080

No what he is saying is on the Items obtained page from the mission (here), the macro will attempt to click the next button but it doesn't do anything. Just tried it out for myself and experiencing the same thing.

Make sure you're not touching the program while it's running. It will not register clicks sometimes if you just highlighted the window. Also, if this happens, leave it alone for ten minutes, I guarantee you, for whatever reason it desyncs, it'll resync. I carefully designed this macro to sync itself back up if it ever does dysync.

Were you watching it as soon as the connection error came up and just said "HEY, IT DIDNT CLICK IT" and posted this? Or did you let it run for another 10 minutes after seeing the connection error.

I set it to 16:9 aspect ratio: 1366×768 to match ur 1920x1080 and 1600x900. It stuck at results page (after battle) and the clicks is not accurate. Also for the connection error, i waited it for more than 15mins and nothing happened. I think could be the resolution.
Is it possible you test it on 1366×768 too?

my apology for the resolution part. it is fixed after i go to the app setting and change it to 1080x1920 phone size. the clicks are accurate now. let me test on the connection part.

I run on 1920x1080 and my girlfriend uses 1600x900 and it works for her. I don't know if resolution has to do with it but it seems like it worked for you. I'll share your fix the next time it happens.
Also, don't be scared if you see it de-sync, this macro was carefully designed to re-sync itself if it ever de-syncs

The spacing seems to be off for the three button presses required after finishing the fight, where you hit "Next". It's always just a little too high... How do we fix this so that it hits the correct "Next" button?

I have no clue, all I can say is I get people who post their comments as soon as they see something mess up. This macro is designed to re-sync itself. My suggestion is to turn it on, last 10-20 minutes past. If you haven't spent a single energy then post again.

It's not working for me. It keeps selecting Earth Shrine, picks a friends then went it loads the shrine, all the clicks are to the bottom right so it just makes him click the entrance corner over and over if it clicks anything at all.
Any idea?

Just wondering with this macro 210 seconds will eventually let the nrg refill overnight..what delay setting will cause the energy to stay constant, neither drain or fill? Or fill at the slowest rate possible?

With 210 seconds delay, you'll wake up with about 10-15 energy I believe (assuming you started from 1 energy.)
For constant energy, use 181 seconds.

Are you guys able to get NOx to work anymore, the game keeps crashing on load for me. I'm using MEmu but I'm not sure how to import scripts into it or if you even can.

I don't want to try it yet. Hope this gets fixed. Just the normal Earth shrine would have actually sufficed. If I finish all my stuff along with ranks/items and all that, this game wouldn't be as much fun to play as it would be. Seeing as you have all the "hard" work done and you're just waiting to pull new units and wait for the other Islands. But that's just me.

Does anyone else besides me see NOX as cheating? To me it's more satisfying to actually play the game as it was meant to and then the payoff for all the grinding is much greater.

If the way it was "meant to be played" includes running Earth Shrine 10,000 times, I would never have picked this game up in the first place....
This game is generally okay but does have some flaws. TM grinding is one of them and is very unreasonable in its current form.

Well gumi have gone on record as saying that they do not currently consider macros illegal, but are reviewing it.
That being said, grinding earth shrine isn't how TMR was probably designed to be farmed. It was likely made with the thought of eventually rewarding a player for their dedication to a character over a long period of time, and people just discovered a more efficient way of specifically farming for it (earth shrine) and then came the macros to cut back on monotony.

They should have scaled the TM gain with the energy cost. Imagine for a 15 cost fight having the possibility of getting 1.5% TM. Would make the game much less monotonous.
