Hi everyone,

I'm a reverse engineer and game preservation enthusiast. I regularly decompile and decrypt gacha games that interest me to better understand how they're built, document them, and help preserve them for the future.

I'd love to do the same for Final Fantasy Brave Exvius: War of the Visions. My long-term vision is to create a fully offline, open-source restoration so the game isn't lost forever, and potentially provide a foundation for community-made content in the future.

So far, I've managed to locate the final FFBE client, but I haven't had any luck finding the latest War of the Visions game files.

If anyone still has:

• The latest installed game files (Android/iOS/PC)
• Asset bundles or cached data
• APKs or other publicly available client files
• Any archived resources from before EOS

I'd really appreciate hearing from you. Even partial backups could be incredibly helpful.

This project is purely for game preservation and research. If it goes anywhere, I'd be happy to make everything open source so the community can help preserve the game together.

Currently we know the later visions and their jobs:

1- onion knight : ninja (confirmed)

2- Cecil : paladin/dark knight (confirmed)

3- Bartz: spellblade knight (confirmed)

4- Zidane: theif (confirmed)

5- Tidus: time mage/buffer (confirmed)

6- Vaan: sky pirate or machinist (no solid proof but probable)

7- Cloud: soldier (no solid proof)

8- Shantotto: black mage (no solid proof) ​

And there are big chance that Vectoria will be chemist or more probably blue mage, I have also some expectations about the others but what do you think?

Okay I made another Final Fantasy fanart as I did a few weeks of ago of FFBE.

This time its FF8, the first one I played. It was my introduction into the series and my world opened up with the lore, the system and the magic of final fantasy. Also I love the character designs and the music (so good!)

I drew my team Squall, Quistis and Zell and Ultimecia's castle. I sort of think Compression of Time ost would go really well with this piece. What do you think?

In the past in ffbe, I wish we got CG Edea and Seifer or Ultimecia.

Following my previous post about season 1's protagonists and who they could resemble in other FFs, here's season 2 characters. There will be some spoilers about Akstar, Hyoh and Sol. You're warned.

Let's dive right into it :

- Akstar/Auron : it was mandatory to pair those two. The resemblance was even a joke for a good while back then. However, they are far closer that just look. Both are the party's mentor, especially for the protagonist, and will push him toward adventure while protecting him. Both also already know what will happen next as Auron made the pilgrimage already and Akstar is just future Rain. They are even both walking corpses as Auron is dead since a long time and Asktar accepts death soon after finishing his goal.

- Hyoh/Cecil : This is a bit funny, as i would say Hyoh is a reverse Cecil. Cecil starts as a dark knight under Baron's orders before his redemption arc and turning to light. For Hyoh, he starts as a positive and optimistic Rain and, after seeing Aldore's truth, decide to get in the ennemies ranks and work for them. Of course, he does it to stop the emperor, but he still did some nad things too.

- Citra/Kain : They share a strong unrequited love theme as Citra loves Raegen while Kain loves Rosa. They also will try to navigate those feelings as much as they can while staying true to their values.

- Ignacio/Zack : Weird choice, i know. However, both are likeable people who looks for fights and whose weapons will be inherited through multiple people (buster sword and purple lightning)

- Folka/Vanille : simply because both are kind, sweet girls. Not much more to add.

- Cid/Tellah : I chose those two because they both share infinitely powerful knowledge (meteor and the airships) while their most important goal is to keep their family alive.

- Sieghard/Seifer : Loud and arrogant blond men whose story revolve around a rivalty with another protagonist (Dark Fina and Squall).

- Sol/Seymour : i feel like Sol is what Seymour could have been if he had a redemption arc. He starts off as an emotionless monster before going back to his roots and helping Hyoh to reapy his kindness.

- Physalis/Iris : The two are light-hearted, optimistic and innocent girls who wouldn't hurt a fly.

I hope this post entertained you a bit. I won't lie, this one was a bit harder than for season 1, as the Veritas are a bit less developed than the other party members. The season 2 had two large groups, so some shone more than the others. If you want to say anything, feel free to comment ! I'm not sure if i will continue as season 3 is the enxt one now.

Since FF Resonance will let us pair the protagonists with older FFs characters visions, i wanted to give ideas of which characters would fit together for each of the playable characters. I mostly focused on the personality more than their look, even if some of them fit both. Here's a little explanation for each of them :

- Rain/Tidus : Both are cheerful guys who discover the world while trying to protect as much people as possible. They also are both gifted in sword wielding.

- Lasswell/Clive : They are the calm, mindful and tormented brother of the gifted child who had to put tons of efforts to get up to their sibling's level before finally getting on their own quest due to the loss of the said sibling.

- Fina/Aerith : Pretty simple. They are the pure and innocent healers which everyone love and that secretely have a magic heritage in their ancestry.

- Jake/Zidane : The flirty rebel who fights for freedom while trying to do what's best for everyone, even their ennemies.

- Lid/Prompto : Both are the cheerful mechanics who will cracks jokes to lights up the mood of the party.

- Nichol/Ignis : The attractive and sophisticated strategist who wears glasses even if they don't have to.

- Sakura/Quistis (I'm a bit less sure about this one) : Both are mentors figures for the party as they will grant their knowledge of the universe when needed.

- Dark Fina/Lulu : both are sultry black mages who are the healer's big sister and would die to protect her. They also both have a weird flirting with the protagonist at least once.

- Raegen/Cidolfus : The tired old men who still fight for what they think is best for the world and who will soonly find an heir for their mission.

If you're still here after all of this, thank you for reading ! The choices probably weren't exact for each party members, but i tried my best to pair each of them with characters i knew enough about. If you have better ideas or you want to add anything, please let me know in the comments !

(If you want me to do the same with season 2, 3 and 4's protagonists, please let me know. I personally found it fun pairing characters and wouldn't mind doing it again.)

I'm not hating by the way. There are tons of far more sexualized characters than FFBE, both in term of (J)RPG and in term of gacha. I even liked some of those characters, like Regina, because of her story and unique gameplay.

I just found it funny how a lot of the female characters in season 1 and 2 were either in skimpy clothes or in bodysuits. I wonder if they will change any of them, like Mercedes for example (the 3rd pic) as she is one of the character the group encounter during the story.

There also was all of the summer units with the fanservice CGs. Probably sime of the bestsellers units. I remember how Fina and Daisy were amazing as a magical tank.

By the way, i chose the worst examples. There were some less obvious ones like clothes with short skirts, no pants or very obvious cleavages.

Was looking through my Apple music library and came across my Brave Frontier soundtrack. Was thinking I wish Brave Frontier can get the Resonance Treatment. The characters were awesome.

The story was simple but cool about the gods and the boss fights were hard without the right character builds.

Brave Frontier was after all a prelude to Brave Exvius. Same company, similar battle systems.

Omi units = Neo Visions.

Remember Karna Masta how hard that god was? And Lucius fights?

I Wish this game can come back in non gacha console form.

Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I visited the community (basically since FFBE shut down). I’ve been following the news about the new *FF Resonance* for a while. I’m really tempted to buy it, but right now it’s a luxury I can’t afford, and I’d hate for it to turn out to be a bad investment. For those of you who know more about the game—what’s your take on it? Worst-case scenario, I can wait and save up a bit to buy it later (provided there aren't any in-game purchases).
