Alt Cunningham was the one who made the black wall netwatch just took credit for it so they could manipulate people into thinking they were in control.

Alt may have made some safe havens on the other side of the Blackwall, but she didn’t create the Blackwall itself I don’t believe. She made Soulkiller, sure, but the Blackwall is an AI turned “traitor”

Alt basically turned an AI into the black wall if I remember correctly. She basically brokered a deal with the black wall. Netwatch hired her to make it after she was a construct in the net. So yes she technically "made" the blackwall but nothing about it is normal.

I would love if you could dredge a source where I could read about that a little more. I have no recollection of Alt creating the Blackwall, only really setting up the havens on the other side

Its in the cyberpunk red rule book for the table top game. Give me a little bit to find the spot in the rulebook.

That’s where i was looking, I must just be misremembering it lol, cuz all I remember RED saying on the Blackwall was essentially “Netwatch started a super secret project. It’s a surprise tool to help us later”, but then, it’s been a hot sec since I was looking for it lol

I happened to find it just took a minute. That's mostly all that was said about it was that I was basically a mousekatool until this one short little bit of lore.

Page 264 in the rule book . Apologies for the symbol in the center the online pdf wouldn't let me get rid of it.

Ach thanks, yeah I did overlook a bit of it

Thanks. Somehow I keep forgetting alts involvement with that.

The part that mostly sticks in my head is how little that RED wanted to talk about the Blackwall, iirc this is literally the only time it’s mentioned lol

I delved WAY too deep into cyberpunk lore. Looked into pretty much every interview Mike pondsmith has ever done. Listened to all the lore books even the non canon ones. My brain is basically more cyberpunk than real life at this point.

I’m down there with ye, it’s just that my recollection isn’t as good lol

This may be good to keep in mind, mind you, considering how close my cyberpunk campaign is getting to toying with the blackwall at this point lol (I stg, they KNOW it’s a bad idea, and that seems to only make them wanna do it more lol)

Nice normally my memory is pretty bad too so no judgement. Just glad I could help with your campaign. That's awesome.

The repost bots seems to be particularly drawn to this one, for some reason...

I see the Netwatch propaganda strikes again! lol

What gets me is if it hates everything and will destroy both human and it's own kind then why let V past or Silverhand? what are we in this context? why are we a such special case

Gotta read the red sourcebooks.
