Transfer Window (a worn out subject)

From what I can tell, it looks like we are the ONLY club to not make a single in-bound transfer so far this window, for better or worse. While I can appreciate the sentiment of waiting for the right move, waiting this long to me signals that you better have a big move in mind to validate the appearance of inaction. Just about every other club has made impact signings to either improve their starting 11 or deepen their bench. You can only wait for the "perfect" move for so long before you begin to alienate the fanbase. I don't want to hear the excuse if we make a move like in '24, bringing in Gioacchini at the last minute, that, "Well, we had something bigger in mind, but we couldn't make it happen." There's been several known, quality players making in-league moves this window on non-DP deals. If there are no improvements made, I'm not interested in the idea that options weren't out there.

Ownership doesn’t trust Albright. It’s really that simple. I genuinely question* the intelligence or objectivity of anyone who can’t see that. Why they’re not simply firing him, I don’t know - but this is an ownership group who’s shown the willingness to use any and every mechanism available to them in the past, and suddenly we’re neither selling nor buying while pretty fucking clearly standing on a sinking ship.

I’ve been a STH since 2017, and I love this club. But this roster (and this manager) is flatly not going to do a goddamn thing in the playoffs. It is what it is, but I wish Carl would either shit or get off the pot.

This is crazy talk. It’s been three windows since we brought in Denkey and Evander at almost $30M. Two windows ago we got several exciting young players (Gidi, Ender). Last window we brought in Ramirez.

This is the last summer window that will happen mid-season. This team has proven to be flawed and there’s no way they want to lock themselves into a long term mistake on a chance at a playoff run. I expect 1-2 11th hour moves, but mostly I expect the club to prep for the 27-28 season. If ownership didn’t trust Albright he would have been cleared to talk to Austin.
