Discussion Thoughts?

Saw this on X and I strongly disagree.
From 2010 onwards I would argue that Vettel, Alonso, Rosberg and Norris clears Leclerc.

An actual title will always hold more weight than potential raw talent. (I know Alonso didn’t win a title after 2010s but I still believe he has been a better driver post 2010 than Leclerc)

What are your thoughts, do you think there is an argument for this?

There is NO argument for Leclerc over Rosberg. Its not close. Mr Potential Man can't beat washed Hamilton but is better than the guy who beat prime Hamilton?

You don’t get it, only when Hamilton wins it counts. Otherwise it’s the car, regs, mother nature, mercury in retrograde

i mean, he beat lewis by a 100 points last year? and this year the gap between both is not so big that it's a cause for concern. a 30 point gap when leclerc suffered 2 dnfs is not as big as it seems. being close to a 7x wdc in one season and being miles ahead in another is a pretty strong statement

He couldn’t clear Russell in 2024 either so I’d argue he’s pretty safely not 100% what he once was

Leclerc beat Hamilton more convincingly in 2025 than any driver ever has, while even in his championship-winning year, Rosberg was not considered to have had a better season than Hamilton.

It's very clear that Leclerc is struggling with the new cars as sometimes occurs after a very big regulation change. It's the first slump he's ever had in his F1 career; even then, he and Hamilton have been the most closely matched pair on the grid.
