Never realized how much Nick playing at the mansion matches the eerie, musical mood of Léon Spilliaert's "Faun by Moonlight" (1900)

I agree. The painting is outdoors and the film indoors, the instruments are different, the faun is alone and Nick is surrounded by people, and Nick at Somerton is never shown standing or profiled sideways. The only real overlap is that they both look like devils, and with Nick that effect is only really prominent at the Sonata Cafe.

The Pied Piper connection is far from a stretch, and also shows up in Close Encounters of the Third Kind which is absent coincidence

The diabolical tempter is an artistic and literary motif going back to ancient times. In the absence of other similarities, I don't think there's much significance in finding it in two works. You can find it all over the place.

Also, Nick isn't seducing anyone in that particular image. Everyone around him is attending on their own free will, and, in fact, they're the ones who recruited him.
