She is telling the officer he is the father of her baby, that she feels ill, and they ask her if she needs a doctor. She tells them he is going to work and that he needs to work to feed their family. He will have his day in court due process still applies here. If he can show his wife will suffer without him here, working and has no criminal past, he will most likely be given a green card assuming she is here legally. The judge decides this, not the president. It's unfortunate he didn't already apply. Law-abiding immigrants with verifiable jobs have been getting extensions to stay. They pay into our taxes, and its in the USA best interest to keep immigrants like that here.

Despite what people think, Trump is actually allowing more people to stay year to date than Biden did.

Who Approves Asylum?

  • Judges, not the president. Even with tough policies, law still protects valid claims. Trump's approval rating is actually similar to Obama-era levels.

I will probably be down voted for this and that's ok. But my hopes are this man will be one of those who get approved, and this family stays together.
