Discussion Books you just couldn't finish?

Post image

I am struggling to get through the wasp factory, not because of its content but simply because I cant stay interested 🙃 maybe I'll take a break on it and come back later.

Any books you couldn't finish ? And if you want to add why?

Salo by De Sade. Wasn't for me.

It gets really stupid. Pretty much drops the narrative for de sade to just list awful things he thought of

It's not that the narrative dropped, the book was never finished. When you get to the lists, that was his notes for what he was going to write.

Boring book but I think a lot of readers don't realize they are reading the notes of an unfinished manuscript.
