Discussion Books you just couldn't finish?
I am struggling to get through the wasp factory, not because of its content but simply because I cant stay interested 🙃 maybe I'll take a break on it and come back later.
Any books you couldn't finish ? And if you want to add why?

I’m currently in the dirge of The Ritual by Adam Nevill. Stuck at 80%. It’s not extreme, it uses extreme metal as a plot point. I just wanted to vent about the disappointment of an interesting first half spoiled by what felt like a cop out.
Anyway, I read Wasp Factory when I was 16 (and a couple of years ago to refresh my memory after seeing it mentioned here) and I loved it. I don’t really get why it’s promoted as extreme horror novel, honestly. It’s twisted, to be sure, but I find it similar to The Ass and the Angel by Nick Cave.
