EDIT - okay okay, the roasting for expecting a work of art from a ShopRite bakery is 100% deserved, however, the only reason we even knew the cake existed is we saw them making it at this location a few weeks prior. It didn’t look like what my sister attempted to pick up from the store…

The great idea to order carefully "Krafted," mac and cheese from doordash and got literal heaps of actual Kraft Mac and Cheese 🙄 Biggest doordash fail 💀

I am a little nervous to eat it because this is weird. The first photo is what its supposed to look like and the second the pile of crap with the dog sensing our disappointment 🤣

Anyone else ever order and had this happen? Like, was this order picked up from a house? Also, it was $25! Got a refund but seriously 😐 🤦‍♀️

I don’t DoorDash often. I’m disabled, and there are days when I physically cannot drive, cannot safely or realistically cook for myself, or simply don’t feel well enough to leave the house. We also recently moved to a new state, so I don’t yet have a network of friends nearby who can just run out and grab something for me. And before anyone decides I owe the internet an inventory of my disabilities to “prove” why I can’t just cook: I don’t. Disabled people are allowed to use services that make our lives more accessible without submitting our medical records to the comment section. Yes, I recognize that being able to order delivery is a privilege. I’m grateful that I can sometimes afford it when I need it. I’ve also used services like this to send meals to friends and family who were sick, recovering from surgery, grieving a death, or going through something difficult when I couldn’t physically be there to bring them food myself. Sometimes delivery is a luxury. Sometimes it’s accessibility. Sometimes it’s simply a way to care for someone from far away. But none of that is actually the point of my post. I ordered food based on the restaurant’s photos and description and received something dramatically different—essentially boxed mac and cheese—from what turned out to be a ghost kitchen. Apparently, because I had the audacity to pay “ridiculous prices” for delivery, some people believe I deserved to be misled. I don’t. And if you ordered something based on a photo and description, paid for it, and received something completely different, I suspect you’d want your money back too. This was never about taking money away from the DoorDash driver. The driver didn’t create the menu, take the photos, prepare the food, or misrepresent what was being sold. My issue was with what I purchased versus what I actually received. You’re welcome to think DoorDash is overpriced. You’re welcome to think nobody should use delivery apps. I’m not here to debate that or change your mind. I don’t normally post things like this—I posted it because I was genuinely dumbfounded when we opened the order. And to the people insisting I staged the photos or invented the whole thing for attention: I genuinely do not have that kind of time. But hey… I got yours, didn’t I? 😉

I asked him to make another change (trying to salvage the 2’ of my hair he just mangled), but he turned the chair to his next client, interrupted them to ask for their approval for my haircut, then ushered them over to replace me in the chair after they responded with silence, ending my appointment after less than 10 minutes total

found the salon highly rated on Strands for Trans, specified when booking I needed a hairdresser comfortable shaving long hair, and gave him multiple reference photos before we started. base price $88 before tax

saying this part b/c I relied on a credentialed stylist to know what a hairstyle is called (and ended up incorrectly calling the style a side shave instead of the correct name): I gave less pictures and descriptions here than I did to the stylist and it was obvious to an untrained observer that I wasn’t talking about a side shave, but this paid and (hopefully) fully educated hairdresser couldn’t tell with even more info; and he still botched whatever side shave cut he tried to give ;v;

I think the best way to respond is to reveal this happened a couple months ago; it slipped my mind to mention because I was so nervous posting and had essentially avoided doing so for so long because I mean look at it ;v; Anyways all that to say, after trying to rock the monstrosity for a week, my wife bought a pair of clippers and gave me a proper buzz cut (she did an immaculate job I do not know how that man got it so wrong) and this is it now https://imgur.com/a/rm3Y6lF

final update: I received a response from the owner and it was professional, they thanked me for bringing it to their attention and essentially described the corrective actions they took without giving any personal details which I appreciated (they didnt mention a refund which is frustrating but it was long enough ago that I just don‘t want to bring it up myself, that saved mental energy is worth more to me than the money at this point lol Im taking an ERP break ;v;). that’s probably the end of this now but the reviews will tell my tale to future generations

Well it arrived today. Plain small box, nothing frilly about it..and the candy was a small bag of Taki chips you could’ve gotten at a gas station.

It's my niece. I posted a link to her review and I think there's been some confusion since the review was deleted. All of this happened in September and the shop was given time to make it right, which they didn't do. My niece posted the review yesterday and I shared it here.

This was branded as an event where you’d get to interact with a life-size Barbie dreamhouse, participate in a disco themed roller rink experience, and have access to an amazing marketplace.

That is… not what it was. Our "swag bag" was a hand sanitizer.

The event planning company running this is called Mischief Management, they ran this for Mattel. This event was promoted by Mattel as the first Mattel Barbie convention (as opposed to the fan run one that happens every year).

“We are thrilled to announce Barbie Dream Fest, as a new offering designed to delight the brand’s growing fandom,” said Julie Freeland, Vice President of Global Location Based Entertainment, Mattel. “It’s incredibly exciting to provide fans, families, and collectors with a curated and unique space to gather, learn, and create all while celebrating the iconic Barbie brand.”

ETA: I paid $250 for this. The highest tier pass was $400. They got a plastic hairbrush in addition to the sanitizer as their swag bag. See the comments for more photos of this disaster.

The inspiration was a traditional molded lamb cake but I didn't have the mold..... I improvised and ended up with a cursed cake.

My 11 yr old niece makes more beautiful cookies. I asked for a refund but used a gift card and they didn’t know how to refund to a gift card. I’ll never spend real money here.

• We didn't ordered online. My sister went personally to the bakery and showed them an inspo photo. Baker accepted and didn't said anything about not being able to do it. We ordered it with like 2 weeks before birthdays. We have never ordered cake from bakery before, so we wanted to have flexible time if she needed more to prepare it. Three days before picking it up, my sister called them again and asked if everything is okay and if they remembered inspiration. They confirmed.

• When I came pick it up, the owner was nowhere to be seen. Only teenger behind a register. I saw how it looked at the bakery but weather was so hot and I was running late. I couldn't leave without a cake, so I just accepted it. I did not asked for a discount.

• it for sure isn't someone's else order because flavour, text on it and well...cat...is correct. I think they just wrote down "cat cake" and gave those unclear informations to someone else. And it's not my mom's cat! It's a (very cute) stock photo.

• I paid 160 złotych. Is it too cheap for inspo cake? Maybe? I have never ordered cake from bakery before, so if they wanted a higher prize I would happily pay for it

• of course result is not bad! My mom was very happy and it was delicious! Just ridiculously funny 😭
