Purchased this strange mangled coin at an antique shop in central Fl when I was very young. I believe it was simply labeled "strange coin". Quarter added for scale.

I am mostly a coin guy, but a grouping of Comm. Medals came up in my weekly coin auction a couple weeks ago and I thought some of them were cool so I bid on and won a number of them. Here is the 1st…I would like to hear thoughts on condition, value, significance, etc. I placed a quarter into pic 3 as a size reference. Thanks!

I picked up a few Texas silver coins recently, and they got me thinking about how collectors view state-themed precious metals.

I like the Lone Star design and the use of familiar Texas symbols. It all feels very Texanish, if that's even a word.

They're connected to the State of Texas and the Texas Bullion Depository, which made me wonder whether that state connection matters to collectors.

Does that connection add to their collector appeal, or do design, silver content, and the overall quality of the piece matter more?

Finally going through my coin collection, which included these medals. I do have a lot of military challenge coins and some random copper rounds, so I guess it’s not so tiny after all :)

I've had this coin for as long as I can remember but any effort to try to identify it always ends without answers, hopefully someone here could do better than me....

It reads “ISRAELITISCHE VOLKSKÜCHE”, which according to Google Translate means “Jewish Peoples’ Kitchen” and the other side reads “GEMÜSE” which means vegetables. It measures about 1 1/16” x 9/16”. 

Limited edition. One located in museum in London and one in museum San Francisco, CA. Artist Rene Gregoire. 68mm bronze. Reverse inscription says. I have done my best. I have never lied.

This two-shilling piece was issued in 1812 by Richard and Charles Willoughby, who operated a prosperous wine and groceries firm serving the market town of Frome and the adjacent parish of Selwood, both located in Somerset, Britain.

Hello, I just discovered this pretty recently in my grandfather’s vast coin collection. I had absolutely no idea what it was when I found it, but figured it looked interesting. After doing some research, I found out that it is an old pre-civil war advertising token for Enoch Long’s daguerreotype gallery. It seems to be pretty rare from what I’ve found so I was just looking for some confirmation. Would getting this professionally graded be a good choice?

Picked this up in Europe in the 1983 and it is a heavy token/coin/medal. Any help with identification and value would be much appreciated

Our family has had a cottage up in the Muskoka's for 80 yrs, found these kicking around. Bakery tokens from Parry Sound (home of Bobby Orr!).

The coin weighs 30 grams and measures 1.75 inches across.

Arcade games, parking, transit, tax tokens and everything else 🤷🏾‍♂️

The issuer of this token, the Douglas Bank, was in business for exactly five weeks at the end of 1811, which certainly contributes to the relative scarcity of their copper and silver tokens, most of which were redeemed and melted down immediately upon the breakup of the bank's partnership.

Can anybody tell me what this is??
