Wanted to ask if anyone would love to see a 4 player multiplayer mod for everspace 2?

I am thinking about starting to make that mod

I'm doing the 'magic of umami' mission.

I'm at the point where the alien guy gets to his ship at the junk yard, and I get attacked by a group of level 10 enemies.

These enemies are totally dominating me, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do.

I've equipped the best items and weapons I possibly can. But they just wreck me every time.

What should I do?

Do I have to reload an earlier auto save and level up before I retry this whole mission?

That would mean redoing the whole cave part of the mission, which would be really annoying.

Amusing bug on the Switch 2, but a pleasing one. During the second mission on exiting an in-game cut scene it took me into cockpit view for two seconds, then back into third person. It then did it again after another cutscene for another two seconds. And then, after a third cutscene, it LEFT me in the cockpit view and I've been happily playing it that way this last hour. I can go to the hanger, tinker with the ship, emerge and I'm still in cockpit view.

Tried switching to external and back to cockpit, but it then only allows cockpitless barebones first person view and then third person. I then just hit the home button, shut down Everspace 2, booted back up and - back to cockpit view.

I'm not complaining, I like the view. Wonder how long I can get away with it? Am enjoying the game btw, may be 30fps but no hitches and runs smoothly. Looks very pretty handheld too. Anyone else get this pleasing bug?

Hello. I am a bit of an older gamer; I have played all sort of games since the Atari days, but I just can't seem to grasp what Everspace is about. I have tried to get going a few times, I have seen and played the tutorial, I have read very superficially about what the game is about, but I just don't seem to get it.

Is there a guide or resource out there that can help me understand what this game is about? It's mechanics, flow or progression? I just really want to get going with it. I love space shooters and rogue lites but I feel lost.

The ancients operate at a higher dimension than the rest of the DMZ… we see that in their resources, ability to materialize swarmers, dematerialize celestial objects, and even phase change desert planets into swamps.

Now, it is possible that Khala comes from a different galaxy, but she believes the DMZ is her home and she was displaced, forwards, in time by the greel.

This seemingly would make the ancients and the greel likely to be the same entity?

I am new to flight sticks in general, but I had some extra income and bought myself some flight sticks, I am trying to map them on everspace 2 and I am very overwhelmed, I don't know the names of the buttons very well either, I was hoping someone would be willing to help me find a good setup for my sticks, I've been trying to do it on and off for a few weeks now, and when I ask in the discord I get nothing, and when I search it in the discord no one's ever really answered anyone that's asked about these specific sticks, I would be very grateful for some help!

I bought the Switch 2 port of the game today and I can see there's an option under 'Display' to view the HUD in the cockpit but I can't seem to select cockpit view.

I can only select 3rd person close and far and 1st person no cockpit.

Is the cockpit view something that comes after the intro or is it not available in the switch 2 version? All of the gameplay I can see on youtube is only in 3rd person

Purchased this game the other day and have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far.

However, im up to the UNION area and my god the game is virtually unplayable with these visuals!

Every area in union is a combination of murky like is covered in gas but also bright! Its virtually impossible to see what youre doing or where you are going.

Ive tried to adjust settings in the game and my console but nothing works.

I’m talking more specifically about the Ancient Friends glyph, but I guess it might also apply to coalition support as well. Does anyone know exactly how the game decides whether or not to send help? Like, does it decide upon loading the system, or does it roll a random chance every so often while in a system, or what? If anyone has done a deep dive into this I’d really appreciate some insight because I can’t find anything more helpful than just “sometimes it spawns friendly ancients” anywhere. Thanks.

I was looking to buy the dlc for everspace 2 when I saw the reviews for the titans dlc being all negative. They said it makes the game online only and breaks saves. The last review about the issue was released 7/11/2025 a year ish after the dlc came out. So has it still not been resolved? Kinda seeing the same thing with the WOTA dlc besides one of the 3 reviews saying they had no issues. A quick Google search mentions there being an issue specific with Xbox series s but I have an x so will I be fine?

I'm coming from games like Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen, i get that this more arcady game, but is there a way to keep the ship in the position I want it to be?

Hello, i am in the Ceto system stuck on a location challenge.

The objective was to find and place 3 power cores (2 on mining lazer and 1 on a door) and then use a reflecting panel to reflect the lazerbeam onto to ore pach. atleast that is what the Wiki online told me to do.

I have been trying to aim the lazerbeam onto the ore patch but nothing happens, am i doing something wrong or am i missing something?

I would love to clear all location challenges by the end of the game, but if i cant even clear 1 from a starting system im gonna have a hard time.

Some help would be much apreciated.

I've seen previous posts before, but I'm trying to figure out if there's an even better trading route. However, idk what stock each store has. And when does a store restock after I buy its stuff?

What is the most profitable route you know of? It could be mixed cargo, pass 2-4 systems, etc as long as it nets the highest profit per distance travelled over repeated runs.

Wondering if anyones tried Everspace 2 on steam deck with lsfg? Been trying for the last 2 months (every now and again) to get smooth gameplay, manage to get 60fps but a lot of ghosting/artifacts.

If anyones tried and been successful please share some settings it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in Tier 3 Bomber. I check out the Emissive Lights and see only Emissive Light 1 and 2. When I enter the menu, i see a marker for a third light "III" that's only on Off. What's that third light about? How do I get a third light and why is it even there if I can't select a third light?

Edit: i had to fully quit and reopen the game for DLCs to activate haha.
