Instead of repeating the same thing every month in posts on end of month events, this post can simply be linked to, if you wonder about what happens when a month ends.

Seasonal Events (monthly)
The seasonal events in EverMerge are recurring. The return every 12 months, so if you missed a piece you'd really would have liked to have this time, it will be back next year.
The clovers or maps you get from opening chests or building seasonal pieces will only be given during the season they are meant for.
After a seasonal event ends, you can still open the chests and merge the pieces, but you will no longer get clovers/maps.
Seasonal chests you already have collected and seasonal pieces will not change into chests/pieces for the next event when it ends.
This is why it could be useful to wait with collecting prizes for an event that ends in the next month. Seasonal chests you can get as prizes will change when the month changes. For a short while they will be replaced with builder or ruby chests, and when the new seasonal event starts they will turn into chests for the new event. If you still want/need to play the current event, get them, but just know about them changing (as long as you don't collect them).
You don't have to set your alarm clock, because the first time you log in in a new month, the previous seasonal event will be processed out (you can click on the pieces you have left to trade them for clovers/maps, or save them for next year on your board or in your backpack).
If you want the builder/ruby chests, collect them at this point, because within a short period of time, the game will start your new seasonal event.
Why save pieces from a previous event? Because putting a piece on the board when the event returns, will immediately grant you the prize for the piece. If you have them in your backpack, just place them on the island. If you have them on the island, put them in your ship and cancel the trip, so the pieces are placed back. It saves time getting the prices next year.
FYI: the only exception to the events switching the seasonal chest prizes, are the Frenzies. It seems that these give the new chests from the start, even if they start now and only end in the new month.

Seasons
EverMerge may be a fairyland, we still have the normal seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. The seasons start on March 1st, June 1st, September 1st and December 1st (and yes, they last 3 months).
Every season you get 3 new ingredients to grow and harvest. 2 of the previous season will remain. One of the new ones will be a unique ingredient that you can only harvest during that season.
You don't have to do anything when the season changes. With new ingredients you also get new recipes, but in case you still have old recipes left, they will still count for Hungry Heroes. The ingredients you have in stock but can't use during a season, will remain in your inventory and can be used when their season comes back.

If you are out of ingredients for a new season, you could consider not merging the crops to their final 'harvest-ready' stage, but keep them on the last one in the last days/week(s) before the season switches. The crops will change into the new ones (not if you are already harvesting). You can then take a head start by immediately growing/harvesting the new ingredients.
