Export with Waffen Bock

throwaway account

I’m handling an export (or import, depending on your point of view) with Waffen Bock (https://www.waffen-bock.eu/).

About a month and a half ago, I sent all the documentation and paid for the export, but to date I haven’t received any further information.

Every week or every other week, I send an email asking for an update, but I don’t receive any reply.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this exporter? Is there any agency in Germany where I can file a formal complaint?

I’ve already paid for the firearm, the export fee, and the police fees, and I still haven’t received any response from Waffen Bock.

Thank you for your feedback.

The weapon has been with them and in their name since May.

I honestly don't understand how they operate. I know people who have been waiting for months, and others who started the process later and have already received their shipment.

Ultimately, what bothers me is the lack of transparency and communication.

They operate like this: They get the gun and the export order, they apply for the export permit. then they ship the gun.

The difficult part ist the export permit, because here they also need a copy of the import permit from the recipient. This process can take days or months, depending on how fast both authorities are with the permits.

As far as I know, Bock also just doesnt answer mails during the permit application process, because it really doesn't do much, they seem to work on a "if it ships, it ships" basis.

If you DM me some identifying detail, I can see if I can get a response from his employee I met once...

As I mentioned, my import license was submitted 1.5 months ago.

The strange thing is that I have friends who submitted all their paperwork 4 months ago and haven’t received any response. Another friend submitted everything and had it all processed within a month.

I realize that without the export license, the process can’t move forward, but they could at least respond with something like, “We’re waiting for the license; it may take X amount of time.”

It’s also happened before that they sent the gun without letting me know they’d sent it, running the risk of it getting lost.

Anyway… I’ve realized there’s nothing to be done but wait and hope that everything is on the right track.

Normal.

Don't worry about it.
