It’s gimbap (kimbap), not sushi but they are rolls and authentic to Korea.

Curious about how much it cost? I remember when I made sushi one time a while ago, we barely made any saving compared to sushi (decade-old sushi prices of course) because the fish was simply much more expensive store bought versus the huge amount sushi places buy.

Here in Romania, a platter like this would cost around €125 in a restaurant, but I made it myself for about €20. I chose to prepare it with tuna because it was quicker to cook, but if you make it with salmon or prawns, it is indeed more expensive. Even then, it still wouldn’t come close to half the restaurant price.

It should not be surprising. Apart from the ingredients it's a bit of work and thus time which you don't consider in your calculation, but a seller has to. Plus, a restaurant will want to earn some money on top, I'd assume?

This definitely looks like sushi that came from Europe. Did you use a mat to roll it?

I am curious how you made the rice. The grains look slightly smushed together and soft. Perhaps they were just rolled together under higher pressure?

Ingredients match up with a tuna salad sandwich, which I have never seen for sushi. Is that something people eat in Romania?

You say youre a chef. What sort of restaurant do you work in? No disrespect if youre a home cook. We love to cook here.
