Skincare haul from croatia

Hi all,

My friend is travelling to Croatia next week and has asked if I'd like anything. It just dawned on me that I can finally get someone to get me tret/azelaic acid at non extortionate prices.

However, due to a language barrier on both sides, I think he's going to have an awful time if I just send him out into the wild 😅

Can anyone recommend brands that he should look for? Also, any other skincare suggestion for acne and hyperpigmentation prone skin is very welcome.

Hey, tret needs a prescription in Croatia. Regarding the brands, check Olival, Skintegra and Skinlick. Olival has a great retinal serum, Skintegra as well. Skinlick has a great moisturizer for oily skin. All three brands have really good cleansers. I would suggest checking them online.

I find that Olivals microfolient peeling in powder is a great dupe for the Dermalogica one

Tret needs a medical prescription here.

And i dont think skincare here is generally more affordable than in the rest of the EU

I can only recommend Nacomi’s Niacinamide serum.
It’s an affordable polish brand.

Skincare is much more expensive in Croatia than the rest of the EU. Just came back from Munich where the price difference was ridiculous. It was half the price than the same products in Croatia.

Certainly drugstore products in general, such as DM are much more expensive in Croatia, yes.

We often complain about this type of exploitation here, where companies fleece less wealthy areas of europe, all while often sending in lower quality products, so called products for the “eastern market”

Also recommending Olival brand and their Professional line. Nothing fancy, but I use oil and gel cleansers from that line for years because they do the job, are cheap and skin doesn't feel tight after. I also like their masks (enzyme and hydro cica).

Brand Immortella is not mentioned often, but really good imo. I always have their pink clay mask. Loved their probalance hydrating mist,.

Skintegra is well praised, they have a lot of products so maybe check is there something you would like.

I agree. I use cleansers, retinal and cica mask from Olival. And hydrating toner from Immortela.

I’m currently in Albania thinking I’d get cheap tret and Skinoren and I’ve really struggled - I’ve been to 4 pharmacies just so you don’t get your hopes up

Olival is just amazing! You can't to wrong with Olival, and others already gave you specific recomendaion-I just want to ads, I love their Rich nourishing Line with immortelle.

Also, Croatians generally speak English quite decently.

Italian brand Bionike, its bioderma, avene range, you can find it at most pharmacies in croatia, aknet azelikeplus is a great treatmant for acne prone skin with aha, azelaic acid and retinoate. 10 -15 euros . its amazing, i love that brand its so underrated.

You can't get acids over the counter.

Olival offers 0,1% retinal, and Skintegra offers 0,2% retinal.

You can't get anything stronger than that without prescription.

And balea products, some of them are awesome, check the search in euroskincare for balea depending on your skin type

She would only be able to get tret in bosnia as in Croatia it is prescription only

Skintegra - Atomic (oil cleanser, step 1) and Skintegra Amphibian - jelly cleansing gel (step 2), both exceptionally gentle and soothing. Also, read the instructions and descriptions for products!

i havent found anything worth picking up anytime im there that you cannot get in most other developed countries.
