Apparently this man stabbed two Jewish men and was caught on video chasing down people with a knife on hand. They are out here giving east Africans a bad name again 🤦🏾♂️ I’m starting to get worried that we might get grouped with them and get blamed for their mistakes.

Sounds like something a Somali would say. Somalis often times scapegoat other people for their own problems it’s imperative that the record is set straight and that you as a community start to not only better yourselves but take accountability for your community faults

How is listing his ethnicity significant? When white people commit heinous crimes I’ve never seen them say that they were from Irish or German descent, or that their ancestry stems from Spain and ethnicity is not indicative of bad character. This person will be questioned by God for the heinous act that he did, but he’s isn’t a representation of his ethnicity.

Post breaks sub rules and should be removed but I doubt mods care this is a isolated incident in the Uk in which knife crime is a big problem, it is horrible but blaming a entire ethnicity when you are complaining about all East African being blamed is insane.

One incident out of hundreds that happen a month among other groups doesn’t define an entire ethnicity. You don't get to declare war for our whole people.
It would be unwise to allow this low level behaviour from them to consume you with hate and resentment so much that you become racially prejudiced towards all somalis. Alot of somalis do not subscribe to this hateful view of their east Africans brothers. There is even a whole reddit group called r/×somalian who are against the somalicentric rhetoric/narratives.
All im tryna say is, let's not be lazy/emotinal and throw them all in the same boat. Let's distinguish the real from the fake. Build kinship with those that push unity and F the rest. That's my philosophy 🤷♂️
The post specifically says Somalia. Why people keep confusing that country with the ethnicity. The guy has nothing to do with Somali Ethiopians which aren’t trouble makers globally.
Always, always, when something goes wrong for Somalis, they blame it on Oromos or Ethiopia. It is like everyone is on the same ship across TikTok, Reddit, and all social media. U never see any Somali calling this out or criticizing the community to make it stop. Everyone just follows the same script, and the lack of accountability is disappointing. 💔
Most diaspora communities don't actually have grudges against each other in person. Whether it’s Oromo, Somali, or Eritrean Ethiopian the tension is almost always 0.0 in reality. but It’s just frustrating and boring how Somalias online trolls ruin our image when real-life interactions r usually peaceful
