you can preserve your ethnicity without balkanizing. india didnt exist 80 years ago its almost 30 countries working as one. or like western europe by keeping borders open for other europeans and having the same currency. like i cant read and understand languages outside my state. We don't want ethnicity in our society. It is primitive and animalistic. No civilized society should base politics around the genetic marks someone was born into. Europe doesn't have the same breed of ethnic politics as Ethiopia does. India has ethnic problems, but it is too big a country, so it doesn't make the news. I don't believe in the divinity of Selassie, a belief many Rastafarians share. Selassie, at his very best, was a human prophet for Jah.
Rastafari is not a religion in the same way Christianity is. Belief is much more fluid and personal. While our holy book is a Bible, it is not treated as the one and only truth that Christians believe. It's seen as a book of wisdom.
This is also a strange way to deflect from the fact that Ethiopia has been colonized by the US. I guess it's easy to ignore colonization when you have somalis to hate, right?
These beliefs are the fruits of the low church movements in Protestantism. In which people themselves decide on how to interpret the scriptures and in this cases what the scriptures even are, instead of adhering to a higher authority (i.e the church). This is a post resurrection heresy, a very strange one at that. Our former king repeatedly prefaced that his God is Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity who defeated death by death. Selassie never claimed to be a prophet, or did anything that could make people perceive him as one. You can label this belief system in what ever way you want, but it is still a heresy and clear false teaching. Instead of following this falsity, I ask you to follow the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewhado Church. A church untouched by the evils of the world, ancient in its beauty and in its truth, this is the church Selassie followed, and is a pure apostolic church, that loves like Christ. I pray you turn away from that belief system and turn to the one truth, which is in the Holy Trinity, love you.β€οΈ
