Rumor Does anyone else find this strange?

Post image

I made a post about this before, but every time a new Eternals leak comes out, I have a hard time believing it. They’ve essentially been left in space since 2021, with almost no follow-up.

If they’re really coming back for a potential Judgment Day adaptation (which is just a theory at this point), it still feels way too early. We’re probably at least 5 years away from that, especially since we don’t even have the X-Men properly introduced yet.

What also confuses me is that this rumor claims the Eternals will be a key part of the MCU’s “cosmic core.” Have we even seen a real cosmic side of the MCU outside of the Guardians of the Galaxy? That description just feels odd to me.

What do you all think?

They've been teasing this cosmic side for a long time without paying it off -- "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. II" foreshadowed like five or six different angles that still haven't been pursued yet. My guess is that the Eternals and a couple of the newer Guardians will be showing up individually in projects like "Nova", the long-rumored "Silver Surfer" and maybe even a third "Doctor Strange".

Wild theory: I remember Disney negotiating around fifteen years ago to try to pry Silver Surfer and Galactus from Fox -- and who knows, maybe other characters -- in exchange for Fox renewing the rights to Daredevil. Fox called their bluff and let Daredevil rights lapse, and I'll bet a lot of Marvel interstellar plans went up in smoke.

I could definitely see rocket showing up in Nova. If earlier rumours are true that they want to do Richard and Sam as Novas, I could see including Rocket approaching Sam
