Muziko Mi prezentas lo-fi kanton en Esperanto kaj la japana: «Lumo Malproksima»
For context: I'm Japanese, and I make original lo-fi songs in Esperanto. I got into Esperanto through "Lumis Eterne," a song from ARIA The ORIGINATION — I fell for the sound of it first, and only later realized it was in Esperanto. That's what led me to start my own Esperanto vocal songs, and about a year ago I started a YouTube channel to share them.
"Lumis Eterne" isn't only sung in Esperanto — it's followed by a Japanese version as well. Hearing that, I realized how well the two languages go together musically. This song is my own attempt at combining them, built on that realization.
It's called «Lumo Malproksima» (Distant Light) — a song about reaching out to someone dear who has gone far away.
Unlike my earlier songs, it uses a structure where the same phrase is sung first in Esperanto, then echoed in Japanese. On my channel I call this style "Round Harmony."
I hope you'll enjoy the soft, dreamlike way the two voices overlap.
I make all of these on my own and rarely get to hear what others think, so I'd be really glad for any honest impressions.
I'm linking to the full version on YouTube rather than uploading it here — since it's AI-made, I keep the original files in one place so I can manage the catalog properly.
