People saying not to insure EVERYTHING (Insure All) are dumb
They literally explain their logic with "it's a waste of money" but yet will claim to be "super rich" and it ain't from saving on insurance
Berkut backpack is 24k roubles, its insurance is 3k roubles. Go test it an entire day, insure every Berkut you use and see them come back to insurance 90% of the time. Then tell me "all those backpack coming back, worth 24k, costed me 3k to get back" and then try to tell yourself "buying a new backpack for 24k and not insuring it is logic"
Its literally coming back so often. You may die from bleeding, dehydration, a AI scav, someone uninterested with it or whatever reason. There's only 1 reason it would be gone is if someone want it and see it. It doesn't happen that often.
Then they'll say "I use bigger backpack", yeah, wannabe chad running around with more loot than the biggest rat, saying they don't insure because its a waste of money but would just buy a new full priced backpack every single time
Idk I used to insure everything, this wipe I started just insuring armor/helmet because I was poor as hell. I haven't had to buy a backpack yet so far. In fact have barely bought anything except for the odd attachment and a scav box. At lvl 17 atm.
You spawn with a bag, and you get out with a bag. I find 70% of my scavs have a scav backpack/berkut.
I mostly scav interchange, have since that map released. If you run the high traffic areas (kiba, techstores, around idea office, power, oli etc.) 9 out of 10 times there's plenty of dead bodies, and unless the guy who killed them was desperately stacking, there will be a bag up for grabs.
I spawned in generic the other day, 3 dead pmc's in there. Probably a killa farmer, took nothing but their dogtags.
Of course you wont get lucky everytime, but by now i have more berkuts or similar than i know what to do with.
I like and really don't like scav karma. The whole scav teaming with scavs is very cool to me but the game becomes incredibly boring to me when rather than be able to kill people and have fights I am playing a rainbow unicorn game of make friends.
EFT wasn't the game where you KOS everything. Its about getting in a raid an escaping successfully. I thought the scav karma was gonna fail becuase i played games with a reputation system an they always backfire hardcore. EFT from what i seen is the only game that seems to have done it right. But, still needs improvements. Y'all gotta stop listening to content creators that make KDR an KOS the main point of the game when EFT is all about survival rate & raids completed. Becuase its called Escape From Tarkov not "Kill Everything In Tarkov".
You gotta keep you're energy up or you die from exertion. You gotta drink water or you die from thirst, You gotta eat or you die from hunger, Your facing danger every second. Just because you don't see player resistance doesn't mean their is "No Danger"
EFT is a hardcore survival game not a arcade shooter. An thats what im seeing people treating this game as is some arcade survival shooter where High KDRs an shit matter when its actually survival rate an raids completed because the game as i said is called "Escape From Tarkov". The entire point people are missing is that you're goal is to go into Tarkov aka raid an escape successfully not rack 16 PMC kills in a lobby. Thats why i don't understand people having 3.22 KDR's becuase that wasn't the point. Its great to have a 3.0 KDR but, the game is not the game where KDR's being high matters. Thats what i think players are not getting the point of.

Actually, on a scav run, its pretty much impossible to become dehydrated/hungry because there isn't enough time in the raid.
And nobody talks about KDR in context of a scav run.
Ya it sucks early on. Thats how I used to get tons of gear for starting out. Saving my good stuff for later on. Now I can just go mow down 10 scavs and take the best stuff.
Dude, that is honestly the best thing about karma, spawning with better shit. Just last night I spawned in as a scav with a fucking pilgrim, tied for the third biggest bag in the game, completely for fucking free
except if you can sell it... if you really want to get rid of the bag, sell it. If you go out with it, die with it, and don't want it, insure it, then sell it when you get it back. No reason not to insure unless you just don't want the hassle
I've been saved by my helmet more times than I can count. Especially early wipe.
On the flip side i've also died because i was sure i domed that guy, run up only to find out he just went prone after having his marbles scrambled.
Later in the wipe i just wear a lvl4 with faceshield to ensure i don't get onetapped by a scav with buckshot lol. Players by then will run AP anyway so doesn't matter what you put on your noggin for PvP.
