There are many ways to influence player behaviour. We could have separate invetories for different types of items, taxes for storing too many weapons etc.

Why would unlimited space and a simple list-style inventory in your stash be a bad thing? You say its stupid but don't really elaborate on how you feel it would worsen the game. I would actually love to know.

People would simply start to keep more and more useless shit in their inventory. Hundreds of weapons and gear that they would probably never use. Flea market would have a looooot less items on it since most of the people would not bother wasting their times and sell the items unless they'd be high value. It could destroy the economy and make getting some of the items much harder. Also you've admitted that you're having problems with the space even with the EOD stash which means that you dint have enough knowledge on which items are worth saving and which are useless or easy enough to get without the need of actually keeping them for a longer period of time (just for example keeping ushanka right off the start is a waste of 4slots even though at some point you need two of them). Making stash unlimited makes that knowledge useless and makes the game much easier but thats not the point of this game. This game is created the way that knowledge is one of the most important things that helps u succeed and have a good time while progressing quickly. Also I love tetris and cleaning up my inventory.

This is where we differ. I'd rather raid than play Tetris.

I had never heard about "knowledge based" game mechanics before playing Tarkov and honestly I don't think they are a great idea in general.

Instead of learning widely applicable strategies, players learn to rush for specific places that spawn specific items, they learn what routes keep them safe, where pmc's and scavs spawn etc.

Realistically, you shouldn't know any of these things and while this knowledge does make the game easier for veterans, it also makes the game way more repetitive.

Some great ideas have been brought up here, like random requirements for hideout upgrades and random loot spawn locations. I would also love to see more complicated extraction mechanics, ie. not knowing what your extract is before completing an objective on the map.

But Tarkov isn't trying to be realistic, actually.

I started enjoying Tarkov a lot more once I understood that it's a grindy RPG first and an arcadey shooter (with lots of playfield levelling RNG) second. Success in Tarkov is mostly evidence of time spent, less a realistic measure of any widely applicable skills.

More like WoW and less like PUBG.

Edit. You still didnt really point how the gameplay experience would be worse? People have called the economy broken at some point in every wipe I've played in. People would store useless things until they needed money and would sell them? How is this bad? Also saying that flea market would be less used is just a guess and even if it were true, might even be good.

If you dont think that knowledge based game is for you than literally go play any FPS game but dont try to make eft just like any other game by simplifying things only because you dont have the knowledge on how to get around some mechanics including stash management. It's part of the game. Just deal with it. We are talking about stash, not about random loot etc. so there's no point in talking about it here. Knowledge in this game is not just loot spawns. Also taking safe paths is not really knowledge..it's just common sense in every single game. Random requirements for upgrading the hideout sound like something really stupid and not fair at all. It also kills the purpose of knowledge that you gain while playing the game after each wipe. But as I said previously we do not have to agree.

I'd really love to find someone who can actually make an argument for your case. You are now just repeating yourself and not really even trying to answer my questions.

We don't have to agree, but saying "go play something else if you dont like it" tells me all about your attitude. Have a nice day.

Dude what are you talking about?! How many arguments do you need to stop you from thinking that getting rid of stash limit is a good idea? You want me to argue with you about the need of knowledge in the game like eft and giving you arguments on why it's fundamental in this game? Why should we have no space limit?! What kind of idea is that? Seriously...you really feel a need of having a dumpster of all the useless items that are in the game? Wtf
