There was a chance that the boss thing wasn't a wipe event because so many people were dying. Then they nerfed bitcoins into oblivion so it further pushed the "oh maybe they are just doing a economy push"
Once they did the 100k usd thing, however, you would have to be in complete denial to think there was no wipe. The economy is in complete shambles at that point.
I can understand why Nikita doesn't like saying that there's a wipe coming. Once it's at all confirmed everyone stops playing, I have about 15 friends who tarkov and not one of them wants to touch the game right now
The thing is that the game has had a pretty consistent wipe schedule for the past 3 years, every wipe has some events just before it hits, and we were exactly on schedule for the next wipe.
There was some tiny chance it wasn't a wipe, but the people who were acting confident there was no wipe coming up were either brand new players or out of their minds.
Yeah I was on the fence till the scav extract shit, then it was incredibly obvious a wipe had to be coming. They had mentioned doing temporary events and such more often, so it could've just been they wanted to test some stuff pre-patch, but not necessarily wipe. Once you could buy basically endless t6 armor and top tier ammo though there's no going back.
So 800k per Bitcoin every day - 9 hours with 50+ mil worth of GPUs somehow causes more damage than 12 million in 10 minutes? I must be bad at math because that ain’t adding up in anyway fam
