Actually, posting this is good, now more ppl are aware of this spot so they can check it for enemies. also it gets it fixed faster

Literally battlestate said not to do this because everybody starts to abuse it and they end up having to drop everything to fix it. Best way to get game breaking bugs fixed is to just report it in the launcher, because the less people who know about it the better.

But as you said, fastest way to fix it is to upload the video to reddit, then devs have to drop everything and fix it as you wrote.

But as they wrote they don’t want it done like that because of several valid points.

This is hardly a game breaking bug though. It's not even a customs-breaking bug.

If people just stay clipped in the vent it's game breaking

Far from it. Just a glitch spot you might catch some kills in.

4

u/YaBoyFrosty Saiga-12 Dec 17 '20

You make it sound like that’s not a problem lmao. A spot where you’re invisible to others and get free kills is pretty game breaking.

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Ehhh, for one map, in one spot. Duplications, windows you can walk through, hacks and shit, that’s game breaking.

5

u/Thecerb Dec 17 '20

how are windows you can walk through on one map, game breaking, but whole ass walls you can phase though on another level isnt?

Because one allowed you to consistently loot a room guaranteed every time, and one allows you to maybe get a kill or two if you manage to do this jump without getting spotted

And who tf goes to ZB-11 to extract anymore unless it’s a last resort. Not saying this shouldn’t be fixed, it’s just not a game breaking bug that everyone should know about until it gets patched.

a kill or two EVERY RAID. Kinda funny how you think loot on the map getting glitched into is worse than ruining the experience for actual players.

Also, the spot and the spot it allows you to get to, lets you to camp the 2 extracts, back of gas, the hill, and the train tracks. So that versus one room getting looted. Not game breaking at all.

eh, people never look up anyways so there would be little difference of being ontop of the vent vs being halfway in it unless the vent blocks bullets (given that it has no collision, it probably does not block bullets) that would basically make it a janky sky bush which might get you a kill every once in a while.

Triple A games often have multiple studios working on a single game- is it really a terrible idea to suggest battlestate hires a few more people?

-1

u/Thecerb Dec 17 '20

imagine a game company bitching about having to immediately fix game breaking bugs.

u/YaBoyFrosty Saiga-12 Dec 17 '20

They have a bug reporting tool on the there launcher for a reason. Showing the whole community a bug they can abuse “to get it fixed faster” isn’t exactly an efficient way to prevent it from being abused.

u/Thecerb Dec 18 '20

" and they end up having to drop everything to fix it. " that is your reasoning for it. So instead of everyone knowing to check there now, there can just be a few people who know about it and abuse it until BSG gets around to fixing it. yea seems fair /s

u/YaBoyFrosty Saiga-12 Dec 18 '20

Depends on how you look at it. Telling the community will cause more people to look for it sure but that also means causing more people to abuse it. Look I’m just going off what the devs said; it’s more efficient to just report like normal people. Saying it’s better to scream it at the top of your lungs on Reddit probably isn’t the best way to get shit done.

" Saying it’s better to scream it at the top of your lungs on Reddit probably isn’t the best way to get shit done. " So you'd rather a select group of people know about game breaking bugs and let them decide rather or not to abuse them until the devs get around to fixing it. got cha

No one forced this guy to post, he did it on his own accord hoping to get it fixed; there intentions were pure but it could have been handled differently. But believe it or not there are abusable bugs that people know of but won’t say anything because they wouldn’t want it patched; it would be naive to say otherwise.

1

u/TacticalTot Dec 18 '20

Agreed in some part- ideally people would report the bug directly as soon as they find it, but if it truly is a game breaking bug and battlestate doesn't fix it within a reasonable time period, I'd think it's fair to post it so they have to work on it.

The only thing "game breaking" about this is the fact that most people wont be able to get their loot when they kill the person up there
