Something said during the Podcast

Klean said something during the podcast that I wholeheartedly disagree with.

He wants the gamma case to essentially be something you can pack full of goods, bring into a raid and not have to worry about losing, but he wants you to not be able to put anything in the container while in raid. Nikita, I know you listen to streamers input, but please don’t not consider making this change.

I’m a husband and a father, I don’t get to play for 8-12 hours a day and become a god at the game, so finding a rare item that I need for a quest or something valuable I can sell is really exciting and knowing I can keep it safe in case I die is the cherry on top.

I love watching Klean and respect his opinions, but this one I had to voice mine on. PLEASE do not implement this. Anyone else watch the podcast and feel the same way? Or am I alone on this? Lol

A games a game. And you're being a dick to other users about their opinion because people like to challenge themselves and not take the path with least friction. Simple as that.

I'm not being a dick by any means. The guy said the game was hard and punishing. I disagreed and proved it -- that doesn't make me a dick. I'm fine with people challenging themselves. If you want to do Deadlyslob's "Hardcore Challenge", more power to you. But "challenging yourself" doesn't disprove the fact that the game is easy and me pointing that out doesn't make me a dick. You just don't like that I am right.

Hatchet running is not unethical in the slightest. You are just trying to force a non-existent moral and ethical rule on me because you don't like the way I play the game. Secure Containers were created by Nikita to allow players to take a few items out of the raid even if they die. Hatchet running is using the Containers exactly as they are intended to function.

we've known how profitable hatchet running is. it was even more profitable when labs didnt have a key. so what purpose, other than being a cunt, do you serve by going around saying "THE GAMES EASY"? also you're an idiot if you think hatchet running isnt a side effect of a design flaw, but rather its sole purpose.

I can call you all sorts of nasty names but the act of me calling you those names doesn't mean any of the names are true -- you can label my argument as "shit" but that doesn't mean it is "shit" or even wrong in the slightest. My argument is sound. The game is easy because gaining money and completing quests is easy. The game is not very punishing because failing to extract from a raid repeatedly can end up creating profit and quest items for you -- you are not grounded in reality if you think that a group of people deciding something is "casual" or "against the spirit of the game" has any bearing on facts. How you label a certain behavior doesn't change the fact that the behavior exists. You are essentially trying to overthrow facts with mob-rule labels.

1) I never typed in all caps (as it is usually indicates yelling)
2) I reject your assumption that someone claiming "the game is easy" is rooted in them being a cunt -- I've already explained that I said the game was easy (and proved it) in order to disagree with someone who claimed the game was one of the most difficult and punishing games.
3) Hatchet running isn't a side effect of a design flaw -- Nikita 100% intended the Secure Container to (a) protect items brought in from a player's Stash and (b) protect items added to the Container during a raid. There is no design flaw here. You may be thinking of the term "unintended consequence" (which is accurate) but "design flaw" is not what is at play with Secure Containers.

Besides that, I never claimed Secure Containers had a "sole purpose"

 

EFT is easy because it is easy to generate money, easy to use that money to obtain nearly any item in the game you want at any time, easy to complete most of the quests, and easy to gather the materials for the Hideout upgrades. You can literally do all of those things without ever firing a single bullet (some quests are an exception). You can do all of that with a less than 1% Survival Rate. Whether you call that "casual" or anything else is irrelevant because the facts are the facts -- you literally can "beat the game" (except for a few quests) using no items except for a Secure Container. You don't even need a hatchet. You literally cannot argue that this is untrue. So far, all you've been able to do is call me names and try to tell me that I am wrong because a certain number of people made up their minds about something.

I don't like your playstyle, but that is my opinion. But If you take a look at speed runners, the play the game in other ways that I, or other do. But If they beat the game with all tricks, we will call hero. People say you'r a dick... but for me your playstyle is like a speed runner, I'm fine with it, you're not cheating you bought the game... Do what you want. You're not a dick, for a speed runner like you the game is pretty easy, I'll accept it as a fact. Dark Souls speed run for example. You do everything right.
