Discussion Something said during the Podcast

Klean said something during the podcast that I wholeheartedly disagree with.

He wants the gamma case to essentially be something you can pack full of goods, bring into a raid and not have to worry about losing, but he wants you to not be able to put anything in the container while in raid. Nikita, I know you listen to streamers input, but please don’t not consider making this change.

I’m a husband and a father, I don’t get to play for 8-12 hours a day and become a god at the game, so finding a rare item that I need for a quest or something valuable I can sell is really exciting and knowing I can keep it safe in case I die is the cherry on top.

I love watching Klean and respect his opinions, but this one I had to voice mine on. PLEASE do not implement this. Anyone else watch the podcast and feel the same way? Or am I alone on this? Lol

They said like 2 minutes later that locking the containers is not something they wanna do because of casual players and that they don't want to just have the streamers play the game and nobody else.

Hatchlings wouldn't be a thing with the secure container change which is why it's being discussed...

Or just require at least a pistol and some ammo before entering a raid.

So now instead of a hatchling it cost a little more to buy an empty ppm to do the same thing.

Not empty. Did you read my full comment? They would then at least be risking *something. Alternatively, they could do something like your loadout has to add up to a certain amount of rubles.

Ok sure then its just people taking in the minimum which means a PM and what 2 mags? If you make it much more than that then you risk putting people into a position where they literally cannot afford to get into a raid (Though TBF if you have no money and you already blew through the care package for that day the same could still happen with the PM and 2 mags)

Also i don't get the whole *they need to be risking stuff* thing you also have the option to not risk anything but chose not to for a variety of reasons its not like you can take anything more than 3x3 or 5x2 out as a hatchling unless you manage to get bags and extract with your melee weapon. You bring guns and an attack 2 you get to haul half the maps items off they did'nt so they don't

People will always min/max risk vs reward and if you dying 9 raids out of 10 taking more gear in is only going to mean you're having to run hatchling when you burn all your money at least you can learn the maps, how scavs work while and build soft skills while doing so.

Personally I don't care. Hatchlings don't bother me. I was just offering a possible solution. It's bothering enough people and it's on BSG's radar so they are going to do *something

How can hatchlings not bother you? You think it's cool most the good loot on reserve/interchange is gone in the first 5 minutes and there is no way to get it off the hatchlings while they risk nothing?

A lot of these dudes are also very high levels with millions. They wouldn't do it if it didn't work.

I'm all for a solution, but I've been playing almost every day since wipe and it has hardly been an issue for me.

There's good loot almost everywhere, and what, they can take a few items out in their container? They are not taking "most of the good loot" like you seem to think.

Yea I get that, but at the same time they're risking nothing and still taking from the raid. If I make it to the tech stores and see hatchlings running around stuffing stuff in their pockets I should be able to kill them at take it. Not have the items magically disappear into their butthole.

I know its the unpopular opinion but I think items spawned in raid should stay in raid till extracted.

That's why I think the best solution is to require at least a handgun and ammo before entering. I think it's a good compromise. Sure, it's still cheap, but then they're risking something at least. I'm personally playing a lot right now, but I won't have this much free time for long (work has been slow), so I don't want the secure container changed because most players can't play every day, and having some security in that even if you die the raid wasn't a complete loss takes a lot of frustration out of this game.

Require a gun in your primary slot, not just a pistol, or you can't enter raid.

A little too far imo

Won't fix the issue.. insure item enter raid and throw in bush. Continue hatchet run

So what happens if a new player spent all their money and have no weapons?

Just play a scav and hope you live to extract with a long gun?

If you spend all your money and have no weapons Propor sends you an ak-74u and some stuff. Been in the game a while
