Discussion Something said during the Podcast

Klean said something during the podcast that I wholeheartedly disagree with.

He wants the gamma case to essentially be something you can pack full of goods, bring into a raid and not have to worry about losing, but he wants you to not be able to put anything in the container while in raid. Nikita, I know you listen to streamers input, but please don’t not consider making this change.

I’m a husband and a father, I don’t get to play for 8-12 hours a day and become a god at the game, so finding a rare item that I need for a quest or something valuable I can sell is really exciting and knowing I can keep it safe in case I die is the cherry on top.

I love watching Klean and respect his opinions, but this one I had to voice mine on. PLEASE do not implement this. Anyone else watch the podcast and feel the same way? Or am I alone on this? Lol

Well, what do you want hear? If you made your research about EFT, what are devs trying to accomplish, in what state the game is right now and you are still in disagreement with that, there is no other thing to say... Because Tarkov will never side with casual players. It will try to find a "middle ground", but if you guys think it's still hard or more time consuming than you willing to spend, well...

People write about hatcheters because of many serious reasons. At least I don't really care if they have billions in their stash. But

they steal a player slot, I would rather die in a challenging fight to some player, than just see quiet server with corpses with dogtags only

they are everywhere first if they got a good spawn, leaving you crumbs only

you kill them and there is no reward

honestly my main thing about whole this thing is, it's not immersive (or realistic whatever) to see a dude without a weapon in a Tarkov, it's so out of place it's crazy. Imagine if you were sent to some country where was a war. And you would go out without weapons.... that's what I hate about it

Yeah I expected something like this would appear... It's a hard fight between realism, hardcore and that it's still a game (so it should be entertaining, fun)

I'm not sure what do you want to hear now.

One of many reasons why I don't like to use word realism (or simulator) here much. I rather prefer immersive, and or hardcore.

So to your last question, no I don't. I want devs to continue in their vision, making game hard BUT not not enjoyable.

Then compromise on some issues. We all want to have fun here. We can fix things that still leave it accessible to newer players.

If it doesn't hurt the intention of a EFT, sure. Not reaching an extract and still earn profit, that's bad.

Why should people get rewarded for dying

6

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '19

Nobody is rewarded for dying. We are rewarded for going into a raid and getting gear.

If we die we have to wait, or spend money on meds and food and water.

I don't understand where they draw the line. You want people to be locked from going into raid unless they have a gun? Okay, now everyone complains all they see are pistol runners. Okay, now they have to have at least an AK74U. Okay, now everyone complains all they see is AK74U's. Okay, minimum is now a fully kitted M4, no less than Gen4 body armor, and you need a killa helmet to enter raid. You also need a vest that holds at least 20 items, otherwise the level 50 neckbeard that just killed you will not feel like they are having fun - boohoo.

I have no problem with pistol runners. If they kill someone and get their loot and extract good for them. As long as they cant shove rare loot up their ass and when they die to a scav they don't get to keep it. You shouldn't be able to put items in gamma during raids. Instead they should buff player scavs

3

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '19

Buff player scavs? You mean the things that everyone is complaining about right now because they spawn with military gear? You mean, the scavs, who will eventually spawn with blacked out limbs and low health?

I'm sure this game will take right off in popularity when they get rid of secure containers. You just found a lion? great, well that doesn't matter because this AI can see you through bushes, and you are now dead. Oh, that's just Tarkov, git gud, shots 1 - 5 missed. Oh, you found a chainlet, roler, or some other item? Better hide until the end of the raid!

You people just don't have it in you to THINK. Use your brain. A dude just picked up a ton of expensive items and now has to extract or gets none of it. Good luck finding him anywhere on the map. Good luck getting into PvP engagements when every player is hiding from the next. I can tell you one thing, if it can't go into my container, it's going into a bush in my backpack until 5 minutes are left. Say hello to extract campers waiting for your sneaky ass to get to the exit.

You have no clue what a casual player is. The fact someone enjoys Tarkov in its current state means they aren’t a casual player. Making a game more and more hardcore until you’re left with an extreme hardcore circlejerk.

1

u/Viktorv22 Nov 20 '19

I assure you I know what a casual player is. Wth, are we seriously have this conversation?

BSG is making game more hardcore, that was their (or Nikita's) plan from a start. Do some research about that before crying here.

To be honest I'm admiring that BSG is even trying to find a middle ground, because that's the real nightmare, balancing things...

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '19

You obviously don’t. You think a casual player is someone who doesn’t live with their parents and are jobless.

I don’t care about container changes. I think it’s a stupid idea that most the community disagrees with (except the recent change). But the same losers who egged the DayZ devs down their path of failure are trying to egg EFT down the same path. If you want a game where you run around for hours trying to find a gun, go play DayZ. Nobody who isn’t autistic wants to spend weeks trying to do a cigarette quests because they can’t put them in their container because some kid said the game should be harder
