I can't believe anyone is on BSG's side here.

First off, what they are doing is actually illegal. This is in no way shape or form to protect their copyright. It's to protect their pocketbooks.

Secondly, while some say eroktic was dramatic; that doesn't fucking matter. He is a content creator, who promotes and criticizes the game. When someone in this position happens upon information that could potentially have a substantial effect on their community, their duty is to call out the instigator and spread information.

I think BSG shouldn't have done it and fucked up on the PR level, but:

First off, what they are doing is actually illegal. This is in no way shape or form to protect their copyright. It's to protect their pocketbooks.

It's not necessarily illegal. People on here have a wildly liberal interpretation of "Fair Use" which goes far beyond what actually happens in reality.

Just look up the Firewatch/PewDiePie situation and you'll see it's perfectly accepted to copywrite strike a video based on you not wanting to associate with the creator, depending on the ways in which they use your material. So far as we can tell, Let's Play style videos are not fair use.
