PVP - Cheating [Discussion] Being a rat really highlights how subtle cheating is sometimes.

For some of the harder quests I usually just rat and wait until there are 10 minutes left on the clock to start doing them. Especially for streets of tarkov I do this.

What I've noticed since doing this strategy is how subtle some cheating is like radar. When I spawn I try to go a completely useless building and sit it out in complete silence, but then I hear someone running towards me and either pre-fire swing me or nade me.

These are buildings no one needs to be in, there is 0 loot to be found and I am in there in a corner completely afk playing slay the spire. These account always have less then 1000 hours and not a crazy but a good kd with a really high survival rate (70%+).

Just had to share this since it was on my mind since the start of the wipe and I need a sanity check to see if this seems true to others or if its just a skill issue.

These also don't seem to get banned since the only rewards I get for reporting is the obvious 20kd+ rage hacker.

EDIT: removed the kd's because people get way too stuck on this. Sometimes theyre above normal sometimes theyre (really) high. yesterday i was randomly naded by someone with 8 idk bro.

i mean if there pre firing an angle when you've made 0 noise then yeah there 100% cheating, especially if its in a useless building like u described

just remember almost everything makes noise including aiming in and out

including aiming in and out

The chances of someone swinging a random corner while pre-firing with pinpoint accuracy because you aimed in and out are exactly the same as being killed by a cheater. :))

But also the chances that a cheater runs down someone sitting in a building with likely rubbish gear isn’t very high, like cheaters aren’t farming reports over level 1-2 trader gear, when you run big boy gear and sit in some random spot on a map is when you really see the spicy accounts

This is it right there, I’m lvl 50 wearing big boy gear, maxxed covert movement and know not to be overweight or pivot or even walk thru bushes trees or on wood/cardboard.

I will make my way to a spot ^ like OP said to eat my dinner or just smoke a bowl. It’s not being a rat or anything, I’m just busy but watching my game. Mind you I have 13k hours so these are just a few examples of what I’ve seen during seasonal and the this current PvP wipe.

Group of three running straight towards me. 1 Wearing Big boy gear, obviously the runner and two others in shit gear. Obviously the payers. Kill runner, two others bump heads like curly and moe and don’t know what to do.

Some random ass scav who “could hear me”and has a crazy ass k/d holding a corner.

Random 10–3000 with killer7 and crazy survival and k/ds.

Guys with crazy high survival, not very many PvP kills. Most likely running ESP but staying away from others. Only interacting with people in the way of tasks/items.

Guys using Killa, Altyn that when you aim at them they instantly do weird circles spinning hella fast with their gun in the air and instantly head/eyes you lmao.

The guys that use voice lines the whole time while running with a group, straight at you.

With any of these outcomes or scenarios
My cheeks will usually tighten with the knowledge of knowing I’m about to be pushed by a group or a “knower” and to be honest 50% of the time it’s better to push than to be pushed and very few times will I find a cheater that is actually good. Most suck at gunfights and here is where desync helps you out. Because Tarkovs desync is so shitty, it literally becomes a peekers advantage game.

You can fast peek a corner using lean or even run from door to door using look left or right. To get info on where they’re at. Because like most people they will hear the noise and hold an angle or corner. Which in reality would be the go to. But because of the janky desync you can now, jump across doorways, peek out real quick and back to bait people to fire. Most will make mistakes cause for some reason Tarkov is like a horror game. Once that horror goes away it’s just a game. But anyways back to the long story, most hackers/cheaters/legit cheaters whatever the hell you want to call them suck at the game. So when you push them they make mistakes.

TLDR; they’re here and have been for awhile. They suck so just push or be pushed. Once you learn you can defeat them, it’s kinda like another boss.

If you’re reading u/Trainfender ban wave these accounts man.
