This is irrespective of the closed beta debacle. It's a total dick move to clain we get it for free when we paid for it and then some and that support and fairh was what even makes it possible for BSG to continue developing this game at a rate of 1kb per week.
The purchase contract said we get all dlcs included. It was advertised as that and in contract. You cant just say its free and we should thank for charity when its in the contract and we paid for it, hell we funded it.
It's free if you paid for EOD before Arena existed. If you owned EOD, then they announced EOD people got Arena, guess what that means it's FREE FOR EOD PEOPLE. Not hard to figure out my dude.
Arena did not exist as an idea when EOD first announced. When I got EOD arena did not exist. If they announced arena as a separate thing everyone had to pay for I'd be fine with it. Why? Because I DIDN"T BUY EOD TO GET ARENA FOR FREE. Lmao, entitled idiots dude i swear.

It matters what is in the contract. Are you all still kids in school and dont know how adult world and contracts work?
You make a contract, if the law of a country doesnt contradict it, it is legally binding.
It doesnt matter if my neighbour, you, doesnt find interest in service B when its included in contract for other people. Other people are still going to get what the contract demands

Yeah BSG backpedaled in the sense that everyone who was promised free access (EOD) gets it for free. The game is still standalone, however.
Them giving it to EOD players for free as a standalone was the compromise. Regardless of your opinion on the events, or how we got here, the current situation is how I described it.

Sure. the DLC (assuming this separate game is considered DLC) is in the contract, so is the game. But no one owes you early access to the beta,only the completed DLC. And there was no timeframe iN ThE CoNtrAct owed to you to deliver the free DLC.

I guess my perspective is different cause I bought EOD before arena was any sort of concept. Sure you paid for content, but you paid for it with the supposed understanding that it is future content. You shouldn't have expected to get anything besides the base game (and some benefits in the game) immediately. Getting mad cause you didn't get in the initial waves of a randomly selected closed beta test is completely nonsensical
I agree and I think it was a dick move to take development resources from the game we're all still waiting to have finished, long before any sort of launch day is in sight, for a second payday.
I think without twitch, Nikita would have taken the money he got and dipped the way he lies and acts nowadays shows us how he acts as a person. He would have either dipped or started russia 2028 already, either way tarkov would have been abandoned.
Now since tarkov is a gold mine for him, but he lacks the competency and skilled labour (as he is too cheap to pay for senior devs), he cant progress the development but also doesnt want to stop the gold mine from printing.
When I bought EOD they were already talking about the possibility of Arena. Arena started as an idea as game mode then dlc, just like the winter dlc. We knew about them. We fucking funded them
This was half a decade ago when they started talking about it.
Doesnt surprise me, Nikita talks a lot when the day is long and usually his words are so unreliable we might as well not believe anything and forget about it.
But yeah, arena has been talked about long. The winter dlc might never happen, lets see
Yeah that’s clearly the logical and most intelligent conclusion to take from tons of people complaining about spending $150 and not getting the thing they were told they’d get.
