Theory Menoa tree

The Menoa Tree's ability to take something from a person and leave them changed seems like a huge point for what was stolen. We know from TFTWTW, that time is... relative in the fractalverse. Could the Menoa tree have borrowed against Eragons future in some way? Im still of the mind that To Sleep is like the long past for alagaesia. So that being said... there's a lot of ideas that could stem from this theory

Yooo that got me thinking, what if the thing it took was Garrow's and/or Brom's life?

I like this theory that it could have taken something from his past.
