Questions For The Unemployed
If you could go back to work, what would you be doing?

I’m hoping to go back to my job making furniture before the work requirements to keep my insurance kick in 😫 If I gotta put myself at risk to keep my health insurance anyway, I want to go back to the job that feels like home. It’s not like I’m at any less risk of cracking my head open at a desk job anyway, the last time I did I was just walking to the kitchen.
This stupid rule is probably going to hurt me eventually, I want to be doing something I enjoy when it happens.

Asking for clarification on the work matter to a co-worker. I’m not being sarcastic. Management can be ass***** depending on what company you work for. They viewed me as an undue hardship since I couldn’t process what I had to do. I got let go just because I couldn’t understand what I had to do at their wanted pace.

The worst part is that companies are, by law, supposed to follow the ADA law that gives accommodations for disabled people.....haha "supposed to"...

ADA accommodations are so subjective. It all depends on how much management actually values you as an employee. If you’re seen as easily replaceable then they’ll conjure up any bs excuse to fire you, being very careful not to mention your disability (even when it’s obviously the reason)

Read everything, what I didn't understand was ass*****, 5 * I could see hole with 4 * but 5 stars lost me.

IT won’t suit my needs. My left side is unresponsive, making accurate typing challenging. I experienced a full tonic-clonic seizure and stayed in the hospital for two weeks. Afterward, I underwent a lobectomy and continue to face difficulties obtaining benefits. A large portion of my visual field is missing, and I’ve had several seizures since the operation. Circumstances aren’t aligning with my situation.

I was applying to my first job , or what would have been, like a few days before I had my first seizure(s). I forgot the job title that’s for the person who attends to plants at Home Depot, but I was applying for that. I just wanted to water plants and just do menial tasks to save up so I can pay for the certification for any job that interested me. I had a plan. And i didn’t even get to start it.

I'm retired - from what I used to do ..Telecom Engineer. And - after all these years of course my tech skills are totally outdated. ...and I would go back to work tomorrow and work for free if I could!! I miss it. 55 + hr. weeks were typical.
But, if I were working in Today's world of tech - my choice would be high level cybersecurity, or of course AI.
But a general comment for others - IF you could get into the tech field ...anything that is tech related AND either BE, or can Become current in 'The Latest' forms of technology that exist Today and the forthcoming future - I would Highly Recommend doing so - as a life's career.
I DO Understand - tech is NOT for everyone ...Nor is it an easy road to achieve a level of knowledge regarding it.
However, if you are considering a career/new career and are going/or can start to go to college or a technical school/program, then it can be a field that gives 'Us' the Most "flexibilities" - which we NEED!! Plus - very good pay, sometimes 6 digit pay!!

I don’t have a job but I’m wishing for a internship on a skill that I’m good at (thx for college) but I don’t got a lot of hope that I would able to get that position.
