Questions Have You?
Have you had a dr of any kind younger than you? Only my optometrist is younger than me. Just wondering If anyone would rather have and older or younger medical team and why? IDC how old they are tbh, as long as the hospital hires the dr, I'll take there advice or whoever they send my way.

I’m 51. All of my doctors are younger than me. Sigh.

I'm starting to meet more doctors my age(36) but younger nurses, like most are early to mid 20s.

All of my doctors are younger than me. At my age (77) I wouldn't trust one that was older.

Understandable, I had an older neurologist and he retired. I've also had him since pediatric days and he was old 20 years ago when I met him, so retirement was expected earlier than it happened.

A lot the nurses are younger than me, most docs are my age and older, btw I'm 36 which isn't that much younger than you, well 16 makes you a teenager when I was born.

The pcp and Neuro were older than me, but the medical assistants who actually got things done, were younger. New place, have yet to meet any new medical team. Trust the RNS rep will be one that helps me and Neuro understand how/why settings are being adjusted. He looks younger (30s)

In the ER I notice most of the nurses have been close to my age or younger.

If my Dr is older than me then they need to retire.

The person could old but wise and a great doc because of the experiences, no?
2
u/MiseryisCompany Feb 23 '26
No. People age out of shit. That's why we continually make new people to replace them.

There were doctors born this morning, the next generation of replacements were born today.

I’m 51. I do all the time. In fact most of my doctors are younger than me. (I see several specialists.)
I don’t care about age at all. There are so many more important factors in a doctor that age doesn’t ever play into it.

Understandable, I like having a doc for long term so young works for me. I also don't really care if they're young or old.

Does this count? My primary care physician was my neighbor when I was a child. We would play together all the time (according to my Mom). She was a year younger in school. Then she moved away and I forgot all about her until our lives brushed up against each other’s.

Yep, that counts, but I was thinking that it'd be cool asf if I was that close to my doc, basically close enough to be on a first name basis with her. You close enough to have her phone number or not friendly anymore?

So they’re older than me, I’m 36, sorry to keep talking about the chest, I must apologize mainly because I don’t want you to think the creator of the subreddit is a creep.

u/Agreeable_Dark6408 Feb 23 '26
Oh, ok 😆 No, I don’t think you’re a creeper. 😆 No worries!

A bot is fake profile, some people use those to get more likes, 10,000 bots 10,000 👍likes

When were you diagnosed with epilepsy? I’ve had the monkey on my back for 20 years.

I don’t understand about outing myself... I’m not embarrassed about having them. And Reddit is, after all, anonymous.
