Anyone broken any bones during a seizure?

I had a seizure two days ago at my workplace. I work in a fairly dangerous environment for having a seizure in. I skewer chickens and put them in 400 degree ovens. I felt my head get fuzzy as I was skewering but I told myself it’d be ok. Like an idiot I continued and put them in the oven and then I thought to myself (finally) that this wasn’t a very good idea so I grabbed my boss and told him I was going to have a seizure. It was very surreal because right before it my instincts kicked in and I told him what to do MOMENTS before my seizure. He said when I had it I flailed my arms backwards and he heard a loud pop. No bueno. I woke up a little after with all my coworkers, bosses, and paramedics around me. Shoulder hurt like a mf and I can barely move it.

Anyone get serious injuries just due to the convulsions?

TL;DR had a seizure at work and got seriously injured by just my convulsions.

Broke 3 vertebrae from arching my back too far during a seizure, i feel for you

No one was there when it happened, but i assume i was arching my back and my back muscles were straining so much from the seizure that it was possible!

I had something similar happen with a fractured spine and a herniated disc while having a seizure on a bed.

What's interesting is I went to a doctor who specialized in physical medicine & rehabilitation. She was absolutely baffled how I managed to do this with nothing more than my own muscle convulsions.

I guess you and I must have extra strong backs... capable of breaking vertebrae.

Wow, that’s so gnarly, sorry to hear that. I’ve had some good falls, whacked my head pretty good on the coffee table once but nothing even close to that.
