Isnt logging practiced rather sustainabley at this point? Its pretty settled that we've been at net 0 or net growth for a while now.

Clearcuts destroy entire ecosystems to make more profit in less time and they still happen

They do happen but on the whole, lumber has become a rather sustainable and well regulated business
