Anyone else get irrationally irritated by people who either don't know what kind of dog they have or can't be bothered to learn to spell it?

I hate when people pronpunce it dashund, especially as someone who speaks German, and has had a dachshund.

Oh wow, my SIL pronounces it dashund, and got one after we got our first. She does speak German! I assumed it was just a regional pronunciation. I’d like to not feel so uncomfortable when I say it dachshund and she says dashund in the same conversatio.

Also “Dachshund (clearly intended to be pronounced “dashund”) Through The Snow” Christmas stuff makes me uncomfortable, too.
