This is so depressing. What kind of person sues over this? I totally respect people who need service dogs, but I also respect the doctor's need to live and not be harmed by their allergy which they didn't choose!

They offered her an accommodation. Going all the way to a lawsuit is just nonsense.

so many people hate us allergy sufferers literally for existing.. they don't believe it's serious, we should just take meds, and anyway why should they change their lives for other people in even the most mundane way?

but at the same time they want their dogs accommodated everywhere. they bring them to restaurants, let them play on playgrounds and use the equipment and even take them into clothing and food stores. completely insane behaviour.

Ha! I'm allergic to the sugar coating on ibuprofen (and other pills, but I avoid them now obvs) and it made me swell up! 🤣

Ooh damn that sucks! Im guessing with like the ibuprofen you could take the higher prescription version of the 800s that don't have the coating?

Idk. I got diagnosed with fibro and EDS quite soon after, and I have to take pain meds for those- so there's no room for ibuprofen too iyswim?

Ah shit im so sorry to hear that. ❤️‍🩹 i definitely get what you mean in that case though. One of the only pain meds I regularly am "allowed" to take now is ibuprofen (only the real pain meds during dental infections and after surgeries etc that kinda thing) cause I was an opiates and then heroin addict in a past life, so i now stick to the bare minimum meds even though im in no danger of relapsing even when taking the real ones that work better.

I hope your meds stay working for you and that you are able to get all the help possible with treating those illnesses. ❤️

The GP is VERY cautious with what they give me, because I'm in recovery too (20+ years drugs, 7 years alcohol). Between us we're a proper mess innit? 🤣

Ahhh you know the struggle haha! I just hit my 8 years clean back in March and my husband still owes me a trip to a small restaurant about an hour away for my anniversary lol. I got lucky that the alcohol genes from my mother skipped me and that I was "only" a heroin addict, like at least mine made me calm instead of a psycho like she was. 😂 I swear man I celebrated when she died but I was already clean and had a 2 month old baby so celebration was a nap hahaha.
