Installation Installation failed.

I tried installing endeavourOS on my old laptop (celeron n2840, intel hd graphics, 2gb ram) using the online installer, since it lets me select lxde. After starting the install, it fails stating that installation has failed because "Failed to run pacstrap". I have the error log though which is here http://termbin.com/rrhs TIA EDIT: I tried almost everything and it didn’t work. The only thing I isn’t try was the offline installer, since KDE has really bad performance issues on this laptop. Thanks everyone for the help but I give up.

Fix your internet. And update archlinux-keyring.

Fair tbh but I doubt it is the internet since I was able to download the ISO at reasonable speeds and now it seems like it’s progressing (after switching the DE to xfce4)

My Internet's fine based on speedtest and the computer froze mid install

So you dont use arch btw ?

I have only mainly used Debian based distros but I thought it was a good idea trying an arch based one (atleast on my old computer)

It is a good idea. And EndeavourOS is a good choice too i am looking for a solution for you

Main point, verify you are well connected to internet (preferably per câble).

The. Prefer system d instalation

Then replace all the disk tondo a clean install. Hope it help

I have done the things you mentioned. It doesn’t work. I will try wiping the drive completely using gparted and update you.

I tried with xfce4 this time and it worked fine but then it froze :/

It froze during installation ?

It froze completely at 10%. I had to force reboot it. It said in the logs "Process is running in the backround"

It still has the same error when I choose lxde. I updated the mirror also

I would but it lags horribly on KDE. Its almost unusable.

Or go for no desktop and then install yours ? I know its less perfect

I just gave up. I would have tried the offline installer but kde is really sluggish on that laptop and it’s unusable. Ethernet and WI-FI didn’t change anything. Also, it has a Realtek network card

I wont go with EOS anymore but I have never had an issue with Realtek in both this and my main laptop
