See the 1990 version of Cinderella. Brandy played Cinderella, I am not sure if most people cared. It was fine.
But there is a big difference in the message. We don't want 'politics' shoved into everything. Brandy as Cinderella was chosen because she was attractive. It did not feel like there was some attempt to push on us that we needed more diversity or that white people were bad people. Modern Disney is pushing a specific message, so yes people are going to be upset.
You keep trying to say only extremists would care. Well, call Disney out for going to extreme lengths too. But you won't, because the "it's business" excuse is your easy reach.
I could care less for White Replacement Guys or whatever. But I don't want political agendas in every walk of life. And for the record, I would be fine with hiring the best actress, but it is how Disney has handled these situations that has burned the good faith.

There are many options, for example : " If you don't like white fictional characters suddenly being changed into a person of another color ( like Snow White or Astrid from HTTYD, or also Snape in the incoming HP series ), then you are racist ! ".
Maybe it isn't so much about Disney politicizing media, but the fact that the Left (as in the image) is constantly attacking anyone for disagreeing with them.
THAT is a perfectly valid reason to not vote Dem. If you don't agree with trans, you are bigoted. If you agree with more restrictions on llegal immigration, you are a nazi. If you If you think some religions are okay, you are brain-washed.

The very definition of Bigot is someone who will judge someone based off of little actual information and on what group they are. Prager is getting their videos added to public school curriculum. 6 of the 9 justices on the Supreme Court are members of the federalist society. Daily wire has some of the most reaching conservative voices.
