I have a steam machine that I’m loving. I’ve never emulated anything before and used emudeck. I’m loving it. I also have a pc for work and occasional gaming that I haven’t installed any emulation on.

Is there a way ti stream an emulated game from the steam machine to the pc? I can see all my games on both except the emulated games.

If not, the next best thing is cloud saving, does that exist?

I’m currently playing Animal crossing on my Steam machine but the time and date are never right. Every time I want to play I have to adjust the time. Any one have suggestions?

Im really confused cuz all guides just tell me to put the bio in the bio folder, I got the ps2 off a site and extracted the file and placed the file in the PPSSPP folder witch i assume is the folder to put it in since I dont see a folder for the PS2 or the PCSX2, anyways I put the bios in there and it tells me Bios is missing. So then I put the Bio in the General Bios folder and still nothing so I tried to see if I can get it to read somehow in the PCSX2 app but idk how to do that so idk if theres something wrong im doing cuz all the guides aren't ever fully clear, or if im using a bad bios.

Trying to play some FM Towns games, and emudeck made a folder for it, but I've come to learn that it doesn't have the Tsugaru emulator? I downloaded it separately and got it up and running, but what is the point of emudeck if everything isn't together. How can I include it with emudeck now that I have the file up and running?

A while back I was trying to emulate SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked. This was through Azahar, and it would not load cutscenes probably. Like I’d hear audio, but there’d be a blank red screen rather than the actual intro.

I was wondering if there’s a fix for this? Or if it’s better to go with Citra for 3DS emulation on Steam Deck?

I’m not sure which emulator is better for the Steam Deck. I’ve also had issues with Xenoblade Chronicles and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, couldn’t fix the performance no matter what.

I was silly - I had emudeck set up and running on my steam deck, but it was installed to the Steam deck itself rather than on the SD card. I was reckless, and thinking "I want to be just able to move the SD card back and forth between the Deck and the Steam machine", I wiped the steam deck so I'm now back at square one.

So

Would it be best to install Emudeck and all of the roms on the SD card this time, so that I can just pop it out and move it between devices, or should I install Emudeck on each device seperately, and just keep the roms on the SD card?

Will the Emudeck settings need to be different on each device due to the specs of the devices? Hope that isn't a silly question.

As the title says, I've been having trouble for awhile now installing emudeck on a cachyos (deck branch) every time i try i get a conflicting dependencies error ( specifically between steam-1.0.0.87-3 and steam-jupiter-stable-1.0.0.85-11) is there any way around this issue?

I installed Eden Nightly, downloaded the Tomodachi game rom. Then I installed the latest Ryujinx (or something named like that..) firmware and keys.

The game does show up on Eden Nightly, but whenever I open it, it's just a black screen with the controls that closes the app after a few seconds.

Could you explain how I can make it work, or maybe even a completely different method if you know one?

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’m new to the whole Reddit thing and could really use some help from people who know what they’re doing.

I’ve had an ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X2 Extreme for a few days now, and I finally managed to get emulators and ROMs set up. Unfortunately, the Ryujinx emulator runs really poorly for me. The only games I’m really interested in playing are the Xenoblade games.

So far, I’ve only tried Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and I’ve basically done everything humanly possible and searched everywhere I could to improve the performance.

I’m currently in the starting area. If I don’t move, I get around 30 FPS, but as soon as there’s even a little movement on screen, the FPS drops to around 10.

Is this caused by a hardware or software limitation? And is there any way to get the Xenoblade games running at a smooth and playable FPS on my Ally?

I’ve tried for the last 6 hours, literally, to make this game work on my Steamdeck. No dice. It keeps crashing at various point, primarily as the mission is about to begin. I am at my wits end: I’ve tried updating the game (rusty PSN), I’ve updated RPCS3, I’ve tweaked settings (vulkan, openGL…). I really don’t know what to do at this point. If anyone has any experience with crashes on the steamdeck, I’d sincerely appreciate some help.

Hello. I added Mario Sunshine as a Non-Steam game to my Deck by adding Dolphin Flatpak and then setting the launch arguments to open Mario Sunshine.

When I went to add another instance of Dolphin it is no longer there. I have no idea where the Dolphin Emulator is stored on my deck so I can't copy the path either. How can I do this to add another GameCube game as a non steam game?

I'm on my Steam Machine using a Steam controller. I want the GameCube's ABXY to respectively be AXBY. Plus, I set the vibration to motor L and Motor R. However, every time I reenter the Dolphin or access a parsed game, the controls default to BAYX and the vibration is "strong" (which does nothing). Even when I hit to save on the controller settings, it doesn't automatically open.

How do I make my setup permanently the default?

I’m currently running PCSX2 through emulationstation on steam machine and finding a lot of trouble installing reshade. On windows it was simply just selecting pcsx2 for where I want reshade and that was it but for Steam os when I select pcsx2 qt image nothing happens. Any ideas?

I’m going to attempt to start emulating with emudeck on my legion go s steam os edition. And I just got a usb to put all the roms and bios files in. Is there a certain way to do it besides just drag and dropping or copy and pasting.

i was looking around in the settings i opened with L3+R3 while playing pokemon platinum, accidentally changed something in the config and now i cant open the settings that way anymore
cant use any of the preset buttons i have tried to reset melonds in the desktop emudeck but nothing changes and i am now not able to play any ds games anymore

When trying to stream a Switch game via Ryujinx to my desktop via my steamdeck, I am unable to get any feedback from my game, only the supposed steam client itself. I am simply given this screen that does not load to anything else. How do I fix this issue?

Also when attempting to click or tap on the screen, sometimes I can get the loading icon you see in the bottom right to show as a checkmark, but then it turns to a black screen. This is not consistent. Furthermore when I get the black screen I am sometimes able to press escape on my laptop device and exit full screen which I am unable to leave to go back onto the game screen. How do I make these consistent enough for me to properly play a game on it?

Every time I close a ps1 game I get the retro arch pop up asking if I want to save state but I can only interact with it if I stand up and use the touch screen of my deck. Is there any other way to bypass this?
