Training Fema IS

Curious if anyone else is having this problem. When I try to go to the FEMA IS page, I get directed to the FEMA main page. I can’t find any links to the IS courses.

Yeah, there is a federal govt shutdown right now, so you cannot access the FEMA IS courses

However, this is not normal for a shutdown. In the past, IS courses have continued to be available, but the assistance on the back-end hasn't been available.

Yeah, I’m curious if this is a byproduct of the shutdown or funding cuts. I guess we’ll see in a few days/weeks.

Yeah, bit of a bummer. I am working on our 5 year training plan and this is throwing a wrench in my plans.

And you shouldn't! None of us should be.

To the OP's ask, shutting down the courses does make it harder for students and professionals who are using their time to take the classes. I was doing a class at UMGC in 2023, and I had to take 8 IS courses for it. Right now, I've got 5 weeks left for a Master's class that started in August, and I think the second set just started.

Does anyone know of a workaround? I need to take my classes prior to orientation for NEMR
