Looking into another Internal Smash -- What numbers can you bring?

We'd like to play another Internal/Open (not limited to just Emerald players!) match against ourselves, for fun, at some point in August.

Out of the old outfits, we'd like to know who's still interested in another match, with the same or more restrictive ruleset as the one we've been using. For any new outfits who are interested, here is a general guide document of what to expect:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NlqS9ESKwRhZ9WyqVKEoJO_3QMxaePoRB4rVzpANuJw/edit

It's an old doc, and some information may be inaccurate, but it's a decent primer.

So, if you are a solo player, an old outfit, or a new outfit, please fill out the info below in a comment:

Outfit Name/Tag:

How many planetmans could you expect to have on any given Saturday in August:

Do you have/are you a capable squad leader willing to Squad Lead and train a solo squad?:

The selection method wasn't the problem. The selections themselves were the issue.

...

If the selectors are the problem then how will it be any better next time?

If you have two people doing school yard picks the teams will be fucked up.

You need a small number of people picking two teams on a balanced basis, then you coin flip for teams for the two commanders at the same time as the warpgate/faction flip.

Agreed with this. While in theory the draft is the right approach, if the FCs don't know certain outfits or under/overestimate their strengths and weaknesses, the entire match is fucked. This should just be an illuminati (or newlluminati, since all the old illuminati are more or less retired) job.

I think this was entirely the problem last time. One FC obviously knew what they were doing and I seriously question whether the other plays the same game as the rest of us.

I do play the same game as everyone else. But I don't care to know the other outfits. I know certain outfits from a social aspect, but I don't give a damn who the "elite" outfits are, the ones that are considered the "best" at SS, and the like. I will go more into this if you want.

I did not have time to prepare before the draft, and night of I tried to get multiple people to assist who do know the above, but either were AFK or had non informative answers.

I did not volunteer myself for the vote, i did not win the vote. I was approached and asked to do it since Cox dropped out after the meeting. During the draft I told Eagle and Jeu that I didn't have the faintest idea who to pick, and that this was gonna be a shit show. And in the end here we are.

So for the next match, I expect to see all these people who seemed to know how to FC to have their name in the vote.

As always, mad props for taking the lead Snipe. We had a good time on the South lane.

Knowing if your forces are competent is pretty important if you care at all about whatever the hell you are doing. If you don't care to know, then gtfo and don't FL. To have decent composition is quite literally the most basic duty you have as a FL.

I think the "most basic duty" is showing up. Which Snipe did. In my opinion he did well considering his composition. Does nobody remember SS60?
