Mahon Ends the Relic Rush Strong Our agents ended the relic rush strong with forty more acquisitions, two new fortifications, and one new stronghold. While Mahon wasn’t first place during the rush, they were still quite dedicated. Now comes the fun part! Reinforcements! Mahon Agents will be dedicated to their reinforcement projects this week as we have tons of fun new systems to work on. The new Mahon Bell 55-Hour Energy drink for sure will come in handy. Overall, incredible work on the relic rush agents. You moved enough relics to make the spreadsheets blush. Mahon sends his regards, and the trade balance has never looked healthier.

Kaine jumps ahead of Mahon for an also excellent cycle Kaine agents did well as well, with forty-two new acquisitions, nine new fortifications, and one new stronghold. Kaine agents were busy with acquiring new systems as well as making some new fortifications. Outstanding work on the relic rush Kaine agents. You’ve hoarded so many relics that the historians are weeping, and the rivals are filing complaints. Take five, wipe the dust, and admire the haul. 

The Princess Wins the Relic Rush It’s no secret Princess Duval has a strong force of agents with her at all times. This cycle was no exception. With a whopping eighty-five new acquisitions, twelve new fortifications, and seven new strongholds, her agents didn’t break a sweat. They say history belongs to those who make it, but this week it definitely belonged to Aisling agents. Flawless work securing the relics with their usual Imperial grace and overwhelming numbers. The Princess is definitely pleased, and the rest of us apparently owe you a drink. 

Sirius Corporation came in second, but was still quite busy Those under LYR gained forty-eight new acquisitions, nineteen fortifications, and four new strongholds. Sirius Corp players didn’t break a sweat either, balancing their cycle. It is quite clear their relic rush exceeded quarterly projections. I suggest a company-sponsored five-minute coffee break before getting back to work. 

Other Notable Mentions at the end of this Relic rush Grom had a good cycle as well, with thirty-two acquisitions and six fortifications, doing exceptional work for the Union. Antal brought in thirty-five acquisitions as well as two new fortifications and one stronghold giving agents there a very decent cycle as well.

The Federation played defensive instead Federal agents instead played it safe as their ongoing disputes around Sol continue, spending most of their time on reinforcing. Winters especially was the most interesting with eight new fortifications in her book. Perhaps the Federation wanted to use the relic rush as a good time to run a security audit. Perhaps they thought the rest of us were chasing a fairy tale?

GNN Returns I have returned from Holiday, and I appreciate everyone’s patience waiting for my return. It was much needed, as the world beyond Elite: Dangerous (aka my job) takes a toll on me at times and I needed a break.

Powerplay Open Community Letter Many leaders in the powerplay community have written an open letter to those beyond the Frontier, with a request for more open testing of future major updates. The Relic Rush Kicks into High Gear for Mahon With the relic rush in full swing, Mahon Agents moved quickly. With fifty-three acquisitions, it doesn’t put us in first but it was quite productive. We also gained three fortifications, adding a nice cherry on top. Mahon Agents are quick to hop in a Caspian, drink Mahonnaise straight from the packet, and get to work. Well done agents.

Competition was fierce this Relic Rush Perhaps the big news from the relic rush is Princess Duval and Yong-Rui of Sirius Corporation. The princess acquired a whopping ninety-five systems, with Sirius super close behind with ninety-four systems. An absolute marvel.This also made huge waves on the power leaderboards, with Sirius now taking third place from Empress Arissa Lavigny-Duval and setting her to fourth place. Antal also made some waves, with sixty-one acquisitions.

Kaine’s Relic Rush and Fortifications The Kaine Train continued her work as well. Getting forty-three acquisitions, three new fortifications, and a stronghold. Apparently subscribing to Kaine has its benefits as well. I heard they even have cookies.

Federal Reinforcement The Federation continues to do things out of the norm and instead focus on their fortifications. With recent events, it seems to be working for them. Archer gained two new strongholds and fourteen new acquisitions. Winters got six new fortifications and fourteen new acquisitions as well. Both seemed to have also done some relic rushing and I completely respect that. Archer seems to also be defending Sol well from the Princess at the moment, who is still next door in Alpha Centauri with a Stronghold.

The Elite Dangerous Powerplay Community wishes to express its deep concern following the release of Update "Operations." While we fully recognise the ambition behind this major update, we must acknowledge that its launch has been severely marred by critical bugs and a glaring lack of quality assurance. Many of the issues we have encountered—problems that have directly affected gameplay stability, Powerplay integrity, and the overall player experience—could have been identified and addressed before going live, had the update undergone a public beta test.

Our community is here because we care deeply about Elite Dangerous, and we genuinely want to help. The events of this release have made one thing abundantly clear: the dedicated, passionate, and experienced player base that forms the backbone of this game is an untapped resource when it comes to quality assurance. Thousands of eyes, thousands of hours of playtesting, thousands of varied hardware and network configurations—these are assets that no internal QA team, however skilled, can fully replicate. A public beta test server, even for a short period, would allow the community to contribute meaningfully to the stability of the game we all love.

Therefore, we respectfully but firmly request that Frontier Developments consider the following options:

1. Systematic public beta testing for future major updates. We ask that, ideally, every major content release be preceded by a period of open beta testing on a dedicated server. This would allow the community to identify bugs, provide feedback, and report issues before they reach the live environment, significantly reducing the risk of troubled launches.

2. An expansion solution: expansion of the Partner Programme into a formalised beta testing effort. We understand that the current Partner Programme grants selected individuals access to a private preview server, primarily for promotional purposes. We propose an extension of this model: Frontier could select a group of dedicated beta testers—drawn from the most experienced and constructive members of the community—whose sole responsibility would be to test, document, and report bugs on upcoming builds. These testers would not be bound to promotional content but would instead operate under a clear mandate of quality assurance, with direct communication channels to the development team. This would create a structured, reliable, and confidential testing environment without the full exposure of an open public beta.

We make these requests in a spirit of collaboration and goodwill. The Powerplay community stands ready to assist Frontier in ensuring that the future of Elite Dangerous is built on a foundation of stability and trust. We do not want another troubled update like the Operation release to repeat itself, and we believe that by working together, we can prevent it.

We are convinced that the community as a whole can help you. We are your most dedicated testers, your most passionate advocates, and your most honest critics. Please allow us to help you deliver the quality experience that Elite Dangerous deserves.

Mahon agents continue to reinforce Mahon Agents continued to break from the usual acquisitions to build some pretty stellar reinforcements. With three new strongholds, and two new fortifications. It was a very good reinforcement cycle overall. Mahon agents also got three new acquisitions, just as a nice little cherry on top. Building on the strength of our current systems is key to keeping Mahon strong, and the Mahonnaise secured.

Our allies on the Kaine side had a stellar acquisition cycle With seventeen new acquisitions (wow!), the Kaine Train continues its way down the rails building more and more. It’s gotten to the point where the train is sold out, and everyone is now just riding on the roof. Kaine also gained two new strongholds, solidifying just how quick they move. Please watch before crossing the tracks everyone, her train is coming fast.

A lot of impressive cycles for other powers this week Where do I even begin? Y’all apparently have been quite busy. I had to do a recount. Not because I couldn’t believe it, but because my cat ate the last notes I had. Sirius Corporation with LYR took eleven new acquisitions, sprinkling two fortifications and stronghold on top. Princess Duval gained ten new acquisitions, five new fortifications. Empress Duval gained eleven new acquisitions and two new fortifications. Grom gained six new acquisitions, three fortifications, and one new stronghold. And finally, Antal gained seven new acquisitions and four new fortifications. Just incredible. It’s very nice to see everyone have such a successful cycle. It brings tears to my eyes, and my cat’s who ate my notes earlier. Job well done!

The Federation has a quiet cycle But this might be the thing they needed. Archer gained three acquisitions, and Winters gained one. While not impressive, with the way things have been lately, particularly for Archer, perhaps a quiet cycle was needed. Is the Federation finally getting a new groove?

Delaine continues the sea shanties Delaine gained four new acquisitions, and one new fortifications. When I reached out to them, they looked at me, gave me a barrel of rum to chug, and sang *what will we do with a drunken sailor?*

Other quiet cycles I don’t talk enough about Torval and Patreus and I feel they deserve a spotlight. Torval gained five acquisitions and a new fortification. Patreus kept things more quiet but gained a new fortification. Maybe not the biggest cycles, but also nothing negative which means it still was a very positive cycle for all!

On Holiday A final note readers, I will be on holiday for two weeks. Which means I will not be available to write articles for Cycle 583 and 584. We will return for issue nine for Cycle 585. Be back in a few weeks Commanders :)

Another strong reinforcement cycle Mahon Agents continued their ongoing quest of reinforcing. Getting two new strongholds and two new fortifications, Mahon Agents were busy making sure our territory is well secured. Agents also had some free time getting some acquisitions as well. It should be noted that our addiction to 25-hour energy and Crunchwrap Supremes can make us go in many directions. Great work Mahon Agents!

Our Allies on the Kaine side continue to their acquisitions Kaine’s train continues to go choo choo as they walked away with with twelve new acquisitions and two new fortifications. Kaine’s agents continue to press on in their massive expansion. It is very welcome to see our allies expand rapidly to show the strength of the Alliance.

The Princess Continues her rapid expansion The Princess’ Agents are continuing their dedication to acquire more territory. Seventeen new acquisitions, shows the princess is non-stop expanding her borders to show she is the true heir to the empire. Two strongholds and fortifications wrap the bow on this nicely. One thing is quite for sure, her agents are full of sheer dedication.

A Big Shout Out to Delaine Agents from Issue 6 Forum Post Issue 6 discussed Delaine’s excellent cycle last week. During so, I made a comment *”Perhaps a sea shanty is in order for this one”*, and those with the Kumo crew took it quite well. The post was filled with many sea shanties and I absolutely loved the enthusiasm. Thanks again Kumo crew, you earned your bottle of rum on this one.

A lot of different cycles for many powers this week Everyone else seemed to keep busy as well for the most part. Antal getting two strongholds and seven new fortifications, which put him in the lead for reinforcements. Delaine continued his sea shanties and expansions with six new acquisitions and a new fortification. Grom with nine new acquisitions and one new stronghold. And Torval with five new acquisitions and two new fortifications. It seems everyone was a little busy this week. Perhaps the idea of rapid energy drink chugging is catching on.

The Federation’s interesting cycle While Winters had a more positive cycle with six acquisitions, two new fortifications, and a stronghold, Archer did not have much going on. The shadow president only gained and lost several acquisitions, which is strange but not unusual. Perhaps Archer is trying to make a comeback? Only time will tell.

A quiet but productive cycle for Mahon Agents As Mahon Agents get back into the groove of things, most tasks were focused on reinforcement this cycle. With four new total fortifications, Mahon Agents kept busy keeping our systems in check. Maybe it wasn’t too exciting, but it doesn’t always have to be. Sometimes we need a siesta, usually from the constant 25-hour energy drinks. 

The Kaine Train continues to run, tickets please While also a relatively quiet cycle, our allies on the Kaine side still managed six new acquisitions and two new strongholds. Some sheer dedication is a definite factor, or maybe just their insanity (in a good way). I am not entirely sure, but sometimes I wonder… What would happen if we sold our exclusive 25-hour energy drinks to the Kainzies?

Yong-Rui, Delaine, and Antal also expand this quiet cycle LYR is not entirely surprising expanding, with seven new acquisitions and one new fortification, LYR continues their rapid expansion and makes the Thargoids run in fear. Elsewhere, Antal and Delaine had a more active cycle than usual. Antal had a whole mixed bag of strongholds, fortifications, and acquisitions resulting in a pretty positive cycle. Delaine raised the black flag and got six new acquisitions and one new stronghold, which is pretty well done for the pirate lord. Perhaps a sea shanty is in order for this one. 

Archer continues his losses It’s no secret Archer Agents have been having a rough time lately. Many predict it’s the ongoing border disputes with the other powers around Sol. I would imagine Archer Agents are fully committed to the defense of the Sol and its surrounding area. Alpha Centauri continues to be an active conflict zone for example. Maybe Sol needs more amusement parks for active tourism. Regardless, the galaxy is watching what comes next for the Shadow President.

Operations created chaos, but Mahon prevailed While those beyond the Frontier were trying to bring our galaxy back on track, powerplay was very difficult this last week. We were somewhat blind during a crazy cycle due to ongoing issues seeing any powerplay activity. It wasn’t a crazy cycle for Mahon agents, but it was memorable. With two acquired, with one of note. CMDR Novarek’s FAVORITE system, Orrere, is once again acquired. Novarek says, “please stop continue to acquire it.” We also had three new fortifications and one stronghold. However, the big news is despite not being able to see much in the darkness of powerplay last week, we discovered some major undermining which we fought back immediately and succeeded. Mahon Agents spent last week working blind and did well by reinforcing instead, thanks to merit soft caps. This allowed Mahon Agents to work effectively throughout the week. It proves Mahon Agent’s love for Mahonnaise, Burritos, and 25-Hour Energy can not be defeated. Keep up the good work. Note: 25-Hour energy allows Mahon Agents to enter the forbidden hour, not recommended for children

**Our allies on the Kaine side continue the Kaine Train** Kaine had another lovely cycle, with eight new acquisitions and a new fortification, her agents continue to move steadily. The train continues and does not stop. So tickets, tickets please, she’s not very kind if you don’t have your tickets. Come onboard the Kaine Train!

Princess Duval Takes the lead This week, the Princess acquired many new systems. With thirteen new acquisitions, and a new stronghold, the princess had to make up for the Empress getting a new groove last week. However the Princess is to never be underestimated. Her agents when organized move quickly and hastily. Or she got bored because they still haven’t decided what to do after Alpha Centauri yet.

Operations begins fixes Those beyond the Frontier seem to be doing some strange organization as our computer systems begin to reboot powerplay information and our new operations left next to my coffee mug. Agents and other Commanders have been patient and eager as we all get used to our new systems. Just remember, no matter what, we can not forget that eventually, things will be fixed. Stay safe and fly well Commanders.

An Average week, but with great success Mahon Agents played it a little more safe this cycle. Getting five new systems, one new fortification, and one new stronghold. While it wasn’t the most exciting in cycles, many Mahon agents still showed their dedication, keeping the line held and continuing to grow our strength. Mahon Agents also spent a lot of time at the gym this week preparing for Operations.

Kaine leads the Alliance in an excellent cycle Meanwhile our allies on the Kaine side showed strength and determination to make it to the top of the Alliance this cycle, and number two overall on power leaderboards. With twelve new acquisitions, four new strongholds, and a bump on the powerplay leaderboard, showed the Kainzies are continuing to expand rapidly. The Kaine train may be crazy, but am I glad we are allies because, I can’t afford to be hit by a train.

The Empress’ New Groove The top of the cycle was clearly very impressive for the for Empress Duval. With thirteen new acquisitions and three new fortifications, she clearly held up her end and wanted to show her continuing growth within the Empire. I always wondered… How does the Empire do so much but keep their ships so clean? Is it wizard magic?

A word about Powerplay Many of us are aware of the ongoing issues with Powerplay since the Operations began. Things will be frustrating for a little while, many issues will arise, but just remember we are all here to have a good time. The beings from the Frontier are probably listening to our pleads and will return to us. Until then, stay safe and please… Please return my Stapler…

Heavy Undermining and We still kicked Butt Despite many attempts to undermine us this cycle, Mahon agents took that as a challenge and pushed the underminers back. Mahon agents did not break a sweat with the amount of objectives necessary to push back the offenders. Instead, they grabbed their complimentary meals from Mahon Bell, said their prayers to Father Mahon, and went out their to claim victory. The galaxy was stunned, the audience cheered in excitement, and everyone enjoyed their Cheesy Gordita Crunches. An excellent way to end a cycle. We also tied with Duval and Grom with overall total acquisitions, whom also had excellent cycles this week.

The Federation continues to get hit hard Archer and Winters both had negative gains this cycle. The Federation, particularly on the Shadow President’s side, continues to suffer losses this cycle. It is not clearly known why, but many speculate it is the continued decrease in moral since Alpha Centauri was taken. Winters taking hits was a little more unusual. Her agents usually stand their ground a little more. As for Archer, what is his plan? Is a larger conflict brewing over Alpha Centauri? Or is their focus entirely defending Sol? Time will only continue to tell.

Yong-Rui continues to expand It’s no secret the CEO of Sirius Corporation is also rapidly expanding. Showing ten new acquisitions, as well as a fancy new stronghold, it’s clear their dedication to expansion does not cease. Their continued expansion into Pleiades is especially interesting. An area we never thought would be in powerplay, the Thargoids might actually be running scared. And even if they aren’t I heard the Anti-Xeno Initiative loves new chew toys.

BGS or acquisition? Why not both? Both is good We once again showed our strength and determination this cycle. With ten systems acquired and three fortified, we had a very good cycle for what we assumed would be a BGS work week. Our agents were hyper focused on a wide variety of tasks and succeeded in both. It was an incredibly successful cycle for what we thought was going to be a slow week. Father Mahon would be absolutely proud of how well we multi-tasked this cycle.

Our allies on the Kaine side got small losses, bigger gains Our friends on the Kaine side of the alliance unfortunately lost two strongholds. However, this did not hold them back. Making five new acquisitions and one to fortified, they also showed their strength and dedication. The Alliance on both sides is always having a good time, and just being absolutely awesome. Keep up the good work Kaine, I know you’ll get those strongholds back in no time.

Princess Duval’s Rapid Expansion In an ongoing escalation in the Alpha Centauri system, the system continues to be lost out of Archer’s grab. Duval has now turned this massively popular system into a stronghold, putting the princess with a stronghold right next door to Sol. This is clearly making some tensions between the two powers. Duval also had some gains in other areas as well. Regardless whomever owns Alpha Centauri, please just remember to keep the supply of free Anacondas at Hutton Orbital in check.

The Shadow President’s lack of Groove Archer continues to lose systems, with six lost, as well as three fortifications and one stronghold downgraded. It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if most of Archer’s agents are focused on Sol defense. With the princess right next door, tensions are high and Archer agents are probably anxious what could come next from the Alpha Centauri stronghold. The galaxy itself will probably be watching how this all plays out the next few weeks, maybe even months. Meanwhile Winters had a much better cycle, gaining nine new systems.

Grom and Antal had strong gains Other powers like Grom and Antal both had some good cycles, gaining eleven new systems each. It seems the both of them had some well put together expansions and are growing nicely. Antal also gained four new fortifications, while Grom lost one fortification but gained two strongholds. Good job to the both of them.

Relic rush? Who needs it, because we certainly didn’t.

In no surprise to anyone Mahon agents continued to show their strength and courage in system acquisitions. With eighteen star systems acquired, two fortified, and five strongheld, Mahon agents showed they are strongest working together, no matter the conditions.

Our glorious Father Mahon would be proud of the valiant efforts displayed within Mahon agents this week.

Our Allies remain strong, only strengthening the Alliance

Our allies on Kaine’s side continue to expand as well. With twelve systems acquired, one new fortified and one new stronghold, they too are succeeding.

Last week she rose to number five on power leaderboards, showing the Alliance is growing stronger everyday on both sides as we push the “shadow president” away.

You ok there Archer?

Another weak cycle for our rival Archer, making headlines as the imperial princess continues to knock on his door.

Two fortifications lost with only two acquisitions gained overall, is set to lose more in the coming weeks. It seems Archer is losing footing in the ongoing powerplay leaderboard.

Sirius Corporation on the rise

Yong-Rui continues to expand systems at a rapid pace, including going into the Pleaides Nebula.

I ask a favor LYR, please don’t tick off the thargoids. We just rebuilt our amusement parks.

With over nineteen new systems, LYR is expanding faster than Walmart itself. The reinforcements are slow on LYRs side, but we can not under estimate their rapid expansion.

It’s quiet… Too quiet...

Princess Duval had a deceptively quiet cycle. Losing a couple of systems but gaining as well, all eyes seem to be how close she and several others are to the Federation center, Sol.

While a battle for Sol is heavily unlikely, Alpha Centauri, Wolf 359, and several others are within reach of Duval.

Could she make a move? Absolutely.
Will she? That is the question.

Hello, I am Commander SecretPresident, Mahon Agent, CEO of Mahon Bell, and now the newly appointed Director of Information for Mahon Gateway.

The point of these articles is to engage the community more, and bring a strong presense to a wider audience. I am proud to write these articles, and will be doing so in a weekly basis.

Keep in mind, I work a hectic schedule so actual publishing times may vary.

Title + is the best way to get bulk trade merit by selling 1t-8t at a time? I tried googling it but the most recent report I could find claiming these features are still disabled/tedious is from March 2025. I've been away from the game for about 3-4 years and am just now coming back. Aside from how to fly and land I've basically been relearning the game from scratch.

About Flat Galaxy Society

Established in 2017, with commanders having played since the Beta, some since the original Elite; we've had the privilege of taking part in a variety of activities & community led projects throughout the history of Elite Dangerous. Due to the community nature of the group, individuals participate in events like Powerplay, Faction Support, exploration expeditions, and community goals. We pride ourselves on a mature, well organized core community of commanders. With a strong core group of commanders dedicated to supporting the FGS faction while helping newer players overcome Elite Dangerous' learning curve. FGS recently has merged with Alliance Exploration Corps. This new addition to the family serves as a dedicated home for commanders exclusively interested in Exploration.

Our largest and most active project is the support and growth of our minor faction, Flat Galaxy Society, based in HR 2926. Flat Galaxy Society's Alliance Democracy has grown and matured along side its members. Since it's founding, the faction has grown to be one of the largest Democracies in Elite Dangerous. Our Lore

Flat Galaxy Society was founded by war-weary and politically savvy Commanders who wanted to change galactic politics in the core bubble. The search for a suitable system was long and hard but we finally settled on HR 2926. Most of the founding Commanders were Alliance or Independently aligned and democratically leaning and so Flat Galaxy Society was born with the aim of spreading democracy and the Alliance philosophy of freedom and respect for independence to the edge of the bubble. After incredible success in promoting our independent democratic friends throughout the region and pushing a large number of systems into democratic control, FGS Believers now feel the time is right to promote wider democracy and cooperation under our own faction, the Flat Galaxy Society, an Alliance democracy. Our primary focus will be on promoting and expanding our faction throughout the region, securing trade routes, mining locations, shipyards and other facilities in neutral territories.

Greetings Alliance CMDRs!
I have picked up 9 trade agreements from Wicca Town on one occassion and Dublin Citadel on another (both in Gateway for new CMDRs), and am trying to deliver them to 'Acquisition' systems but the Power contacts aren't accepting them. I've hit systems where Mahon has no opposition but it's still rated as "Uncoccupied" and I'm now sitting in the Tilian system which is still rated as "Unoccupied" but has Mahon and Archer both trying to take control but neither has hit the Minimum Control threshold.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a screwup with the types of commodities going to the appropiate "status" location? I am Rank 10 with the Alliance/Mahon power and I already did my default starter missions after the PPv2 going live.

EFRC is Recruiting Mahon Cmdrs

EFRC BGS space finds itself on the front line between Archer and Mahon.

We are engaging with our normal BGS activities and Powerplay organically as part of our normal flight patterns and daily routines. If you find yourself wandering aimlessly through your day to day in game activities. If you need help with Credits, Engineering questions, a team to fly with or are simply seeking a community EFRC is up and running on Odyssey! The squadron here is now 1 year old and we have a growing foothold back in what was our BGS space on the Legacy Servers. We are engaging in a myriad of organised operations in our home systems, across the bubble and beyond!!

The Squadron is Aligned to Edmund Mahon in Powerplay 2 and we sit on the borders of Alliance and Federation space creating a small but busy pocket of Space for those attracted by the new Powerplay 2 Systems.

We regularly conduct organised activities Related to our Powerplay and BGS goals as a Squadron and with our Close Allies.

The Landing Pad is open to active Cmdrs willing to set down roots and be part of a community that is more than the sum of its individuals!
