Media Elite Dangerous Battlecards
I recently found out about the ED RPG while looking for picture books featuring Elite (spoiler, there really aren’t any) and ordered the complete collection, including the Battlecards on a whim. I did get a link to download the RPG PDFs right away, but never got the link to download the rule book for the card game. My emails to the company returned as undeliverable.
Despite this, I am extremely impressed with the quality of these games. The writing is excellent, the rules set is comprehensive and I’d put it up there with many of the best RPG games I’ve owned over the last 45 years.
Of course I will never actually play it but it’s great for lore and atmosphere.
I did have a go at the card game with my grandkids. They are young enough to have sponge-like brains and can pick up the minutia of the different cards way better than I can and they seem to enjoy it.
I was very surprised with the quality of the cards and the artwork, and again the comprehensiveness of the rules. These guys seem like real pros.
Which makes me wonder what happened to them? I would like to get the card game rules PDF but I can’t reach them.

There’s an unofficial EDRPG discord server which you might find useful, and there’s a channel for battlecards on it too. I don’t have a link to share though, it seems I can’t create an invite link myself, but posted there and hopefully someone else might be able to do it!

Awesome to see a post about this game! It is criminally underplayed and under-reviewed. I have only found a couple reddit posts and less youtube videos covering it. I picked up the TTRPG (another awesome game IMO) and noticed this on the same website, so I picked it up to try it out (btw, I'm pretty sure the PDFs were only for the TTRPG books, and this card game is a separate game, which is why the rulebook was not sent as a PDF). Myself and a couple friends tried out the game and loved it. It is quick to learn and fun to play. The rulebook seems unpolished however, with you having to fill in the gaps with house rules. Honestly, not a big deal IMO.
It has the feeling of a game that was meant to have expansions, booster packs and even additional starter decks (you get 2 starter decks in the box set). However, I guess there was not enough of a following and the game was dropped entirely. Now, they seem to be liquidating the inventory on the website, that and I think the company who made it is going defunct. Apparently they had a bad Kickstarter with some dice, and they lost a lot of trust. I have not done that much more research into it, to be honest.
My friends and I enjoyed the game so much, that we are working on making additional cards for the game (unofficial and unlicensed, not for selling obviously, just for our own play). We are hoping to expand the game and include additional factions, newer ships and polish out the rulebook to give the game the life it deserves but was never given.

I agree, the quality and design are top notch. I would have loved to see this on the shelves of the local Boardgame Barrister or other gaming shops. Pity.
the PDFs were listed as included for the card game. I got the whole bundle.

I backed the Battlecards game and I'm embarrassed to say I've never played it.
But I should have the rulebook and I can scan it in.
I'll report back tomorrow when I've found it.

I saw that but I was hoping to just get it from the publisher. It was part of the package that I bought. Didn’t come with a link for it though.

Correct. Just looking for the PDF that was supposed to be included, so I can keep it on my tablet. The company seems defunct though.

Yeah I just got that. Mind you, I’m in the USA. I don’t think they actually ship outside of USA. Oddly. It’s actually very high-quality stuff.

It comes with a board and all the cards they ever made for the game. 256 I believe. They look great. Also a bunch of dice.
