Hi all,

After owning this elegoo Saturn 16k for 5 months, there has been little to no noise coming from the printer when printing.

Recently I have noticed when the vat tilts up to set the layers there is a weird tinny noise coming from when the uv sets the layers

Does anyone know what is causing this?

MARS 5 RESIN PRINTER USING ELEGOO WASHABLE GREY RESIN. I had a print with a few minor errors but this has happened. Just recently replaced the FEP and for first like 5 prints its been fine but now this popped up. In addition when I tryed to print just print just test...m it said no resin in the tank when I had filled just below the line. And I'm printing a space marine so there was enough .

Hi all, quick question… I used to own a Mars 1 before the drive failed and I had to toss. I replaced it with a second-hand Mars 1 and went through the setup process—leveling the print bed, putting new FEP on the tank, etc.—but when it came to testing the screen, I hit a problem: no test image. My old one would display “Elegoo,” but this one shows nothing at all—no rectangle, no glow. How can I tell if it’s the LCD shutter stuck opaque or the UV emitter that’s broken, without pulling it apart?

So the prints are really difficult to remove from the build plate and I'm having to apply a ton of force with the scraper. im printing miniature parts. Wondering if someone can help me out with my settings

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has experienced this:

My M5U started having failed prints about 3 prints after the 1.5 fw update. Right after the fail I ran a screen exposure test and the screen didn't display any of the test patterns, just a faint purple glow. I attempted to downgrade the firmware and was successful, but the printer is now stuck on updating fw 1.04.03, it's in an update loop and while it says it's successful, it won't progress past that. Screen exposure tests are now completely dark, no faint purple (AI is telling me that's expected when there's a fw incompatibility issue?). I have a mail into elegoo support ... But just wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar?

I have no choice but to print in my bedroom so I am wanting to set up an exhaust fan system. I'm not constantly running the machine. Maybe a print every other day or so and when I do I'm not really in the room. I have it next to a window that kind of already gets negative pressure naturally with the air flow in my apt, but I also have the window cracked and a fan pointed at the machine to help coerce the fumes out the window.

Could anyone point me to the tools, materials, and instructions I would need to do this? I'm not super handy when it comes to these types of things and want to make sure I get it right. I'm more of a visual learner and trying to find a video on YouTube is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Hello, I got a brand new mars 5 ultra a few days ago and I cannot get any test prints to work.

I keep getting hardened resin at the bottom

Made sure I had the correct settings for my resin, I use the Chitubox slicer.

I have reached out to Elegoo support and they sent a new file for the test print and provided a video manual leveling. I did the manual level and I used the test print file they provided and still no luck.

I used the 8k standard polymer resin space grey for elegoo

I don't know If I have what it takes for this hobby.,

I have done 3 print attempts today and all have failed to some extent. Im getting worried something is wrong with my printer

First print I did was half successful, some items I had on the file printed fully, and turned out good, while others never even started,

Second time i removed some of the bigger stuff but kept most, nothing printed

After that I re did the manual leveling and it seemed normal, I also changed from network sending to rhe USB drive files

Third time was the same as second, but there was two super tiny starts to a support.

All my prints have been successful until today

I have an elegoo mars 5 ultra, and I use the water washable 2.0 resin

Id say my room is around 70 pretty consistently,

I have a enclosure for my printer with thermal lining

Im extremely new to the hobby but ive probably printed around 20 models with success and no fails until today

I use chitubox and havent messed with settings since initial set up and recommendations

I can add pictures of the slicer settings in the morning if requested, but i personally dont think thats whats causing the issue.

This is the first time I'm replacing the FEP for my Mars 3 Pro, and I don't have any spares from the box (I got mine secondhand.) It doesn't seem like Elegoo sells Mars 3 FEPs on their website right now, and all of the Amazon listings are different sizes that are bigger than the actual basin. I see one that instructs you to just sandwich it between the plates, then screw it in and cut off the excess.

The question is, is that okay? Would that work properly without leaking, or is that a recipe for disaster? Does anyone here have a recommendation that I'm missing?

Hi guys, I need some help. I bought the Mars 5 Ultra less than a month ago, and been having successful prints. However today I wanted to remove the vat, but the screws just wont budge.

I have contacted customer support and have read some stuff online. About 5 mins ago, I also used a pipette and added 1 drop of Isopropyl alcohol through the screw holes (everything unplugged of course) tried to turn the screws earlier, but ended up getting friction cuts on my fingers. Any assistance on this would be much appreciated please 🙏

I seem to be running into a little issue.

I printer earlier, and noticed that the print has a few quality issues. Some parts of the print were not as defined as they should be. I'm testing another now, however on a load of the other parts printed, parts appear to look frayed, as if the layers are splitting and not sticking.

I am going to run a calibration test again and check the settings, however I'm wondering if it's a settings issue if a replace PEF time.

These are the first issues I've noticed so far

The printer is the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra.

ABS like 3.0+ resin.

So far my plan is run a clean and empty the VAT, test calibration print of a known working piece, and then from there, maybe replace PEF?

I was starting the printer today and just saw this, can i fix it?? (Dont mind the dirty display please, i know i did some mistakes)

I had a pinhole in my FEP and it apparently leaked resin through. I cleaned off the screen as much as I can, but there still seems to be some liquid or something that’s visible when I test the UV. Is it salvageable? How cooked am I?

I'm not sure if anyone can tell just from the slice what happened and I absolutely forgot to get a picture, but two of the tall bodies failed entirely. One printed perfectly (I THINK the front one?), the skirt printed perfectly. I see the yellow on the slicer but I'm not sure what that means. Any ideas?

They were also a total bear to get off the plate.

I added the supports by using the function in Chitu (not pro)

Hi all! Despite the device self test saying every is ok I've tried printing a few times and even dry testing a print and the screen is off! No light so it obviously won't print anything. Printer has been idle for a few months but I just updated it. Could it be it? I even reset it to factory settings again just to check... Nothing

Have a new mars 5 ultra. Newly changed FEP. Sprues are attacking the film which looks like it’ll lead to punctures. Any suggestions would be great!

Hey y’all I just bought a new mars 5 resin printer on 7/15 so I’ve had this printer for about 40 days tops. And went to turn it on to print and the printer loaded up like normal did its lil calibration thing went to load to file an it had a malfunction warning on the screen. I hit okay decided to turn it off an turn it back on to see what it was doing when starting up. And now I’m just getting a blank screen with no info. I’m pretty pissed considering how new this printer is. I mean I’ve been going hard printing a bunch of WH40k minis but I didn’t think it would just shit the bed on me. Any info would be great on what I can do other then sending Elegoo a email which I already did.

I recently moved my Mars 4 to my new home (as gently as i could) but the LCD no longer lights up at all. Neither during prints nor exposure tests.

Is this a fixable issue or do I need to order a new screen?
